Leroux, Robert Michael “Bob” – Peacefully at the Juravinski Hospital after a brave battle with cancer, on Friday, October 20, 2017, in his 71st year. Beloved husband of Valen “Val” (nee O’Brien) and loving father to James Leroux and Matthew (Emily) Innes-Leroux. Bob is survived by his brothers; Larry, Paul, David and Kevin and by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brother Mark. Bob was a member of the Dundas Senior Citizens’ Club. Friends will be received by the family on Friday morning from 10 until the time of Bob’s service at 11 o’clock at the Turner Family Funeral Home, 53 Main Street, Dundas, followed by a reception at the Cattel Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Dundas Senior Citizens’ Club would be appreciated by the family.

Stone, Jean Gertrude (nee Savage)

January 4, 1929 – October 18, 2017

Stone, Jean Gertrude (nee Savage) – Peacefully at Rosemary Heights Seniors Village in Surrey, BC on Wednesday, October 18, 2017, in her 89th year. Beloved wife of the late Harvey Stone (2000), and loving mother to Lynn, her husband Bruce Weber and the Reverend Glenn Stone. Loving Grandmother to Robert and wife Andrea and Michael and wife Kristin Weber. Dear great grandmother of Sophia, Gordon, James, Olivia and Laura. Survived by her brother Alex and wife Freda Savage and predeceased by her brothers Alfie and Roy and her sisters Lil Taylor and Dorothy Kyle. Jean was a long-time resident of Dundas, a member of Christ Church Flamborough and founding member of the Dundas Red Hat Mommas. Jean was a licenced ham radio operator (VE3BCP) and past member of Macassa Bay and Port Perry Yacht Clubs. Jean will be held in the hearts of family and friends forever. Friends are invited to visit with Jean’s family on Monday afternoon and evening from 2-5 & 7-9 at the Turner Family Funeral Home, 53 Main Street, Dundas. A Celebration of Jean’s life will be held on Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock at CHRIST CHURCH ANGLICAN, 92 Highway 8, Greensville. Interment Christ Church Cemetery. In thanksgiving for Jean’s life and gifts, donations to the Hamilton-Burlington SPCA or a Charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

McKee, Inga Ingeborg (nee Sund)

April 4, 1925 – October 18, 2017

McKee, Inga (nee Sund) – Passed away at the Brantford General Hospital on Wednesday, October 18, 2017.  Predeceased by her husband John (Jack) McKee (1973).  She will be dearly loved and missed by her children Ingrid McKee (Tap Mannonen) of Port Rowan, John (Val) of Moncton, NB and Kelly McKee of Lynden; grandchildren John, Mandy and Mark McKee of NB; three great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Eileen Young of Dundas and nephew Paul Brown (Lori) of Puslinch.  Predeceased by her parents Ester and Evert Sund, sister Loreen Brown and brother-in-law Lorne Brown.  Inga’s Service will take place at KNOX PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, 23 Melville Street, Dundas on Wednesday, October 25th in the Chapel at 11:00 a.m.  Inurnment to follow at Grove Cemetery.  If you so wish, donations to Knox Presbyterian Church would be appreciated by the family.

Belbeck, Dr. Larry William

August 24, 1943 – October 17, 2017

Belbeck, Dr. Larry William – at Hamilton General Hospital on Tuesday, October 17, 2017, in his 75th year. Loving father of David and his wife Shilpa and Michael. Loving grandfather to Maya and Katelyn and sadly missed by his sons’ mother Barbara and his sister-in-law Bonnie Mercer. Dr. Belbeck will be fondly remembered for: being an extraordinary teacher at McMaster Medical School and the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy;  his part-time work in local veterinary clinics. Friends will be received by the family on Friday, October 20, 2017 from 3 pm until the Service at 4 o’clock at the Turner Family Funeral Home, 53 Main Street, Dundas. Reception to follow next door at the Cattel Centre. Private family interment will take place in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, London. Moore, Kenneth Walker – Passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital on October 5th, 2017. Beloved husband of Pearl (nee Needham) for over 68 years. Loving father of Brad and Karen. Ken was retired from Dofasco after 43 years. He was a veteran of WWII. Friends and family are invited to Turner Family Funeral Home, 53 Main St, Dundas, on Tuesday, October 10th, from 1-4p.m. A memorial service will be held at St. James Anglican Church, 137 Melville St, Dundas, on Wednesday, October 11th, at 2:00p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. James Anglican Church or a charity of your choice. Bell, Russell Arthur

February 3, 1935 – October 3, 2017

Bell, Russell Arthur – Passed away peacefully, with his family by his side, at the Hamilton General Hospital on Tuesday, October 3, 2017.  Dearly loved and missed by his wife Sallie of 55 years; his children Stuart (Stacey Farkas), Shirley (Gary Edwards) and Bronwyn Bell; grandchildren Alexis, Blake, Saige, Koen, Jaycob and Emma and by his brother Graeme (Elaine). Predeceased by his granddaughters Sydney and Angel. Russell was adored and will be sincerely missed by so many extended family, friends and loved ones here in Canada and in England, New Zealand and Australia. Russell was born in Christ Church, New Zealand to Arthur and Inga Bell on February 3rd, 1935. He obtained his first university degree, a Bachelor of Science from Victoria University, Wellington, NZ. He completed his Masters in Organic Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin and his PhD at Stanford University during which time he met, fell in love with and married Sallie. After a few moves, Russell and Sallie settled in Dundas, Ontario when Russell obtained a job with McMaster University where he worked for over 30 years. Russell became a highly respected Chemistry Professor who had a significant impact on many students and colleagues. He continued to participate in university matters throughout his retirement years.  Russell loved to travel and he and Sallie had many adventures together including sabbaticals in France, England and Australia. In addition to travelling, Russell enjoyed gardening, working on endless ‘projects’, enjoying the theatre with friends and most of all, spending cherished time with family. Russell was a kind and gentle soul whose great love, strength and wisdom remains in the legacy of his children and grandchildren.  Friends will be received by the family on Saturday afternoon from 2 – 6 at the Turner Family Funeral Home, 53 Main Street, Dundas.  A Celebration of Russell’s life will follow at 88 Hopkins Court, Dundas at 6:30 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Salvation Army, Russel’s favourite charity, would be appreciated by the family.

With heavy hearts, we announce the sudden passing of Jim, at his home, on September 21st, 2017 in his 59th year. Jim is survived by his adoring sister Donna and her husband Bob, as well as his two cherished nephews, Willie and Connor. Predeceased by his loving father, Donald (1998), and his beloved mother Josephine (2003). He will be missed by many close friends and family who loved him dearly. Jim’s greatest joy in life was time that he spent with his beloved dogs enjoying the great outdoors. Freelove, Joseph

June 11, 1920 – September 15, 2017

FREELOVE, Joseph – Passed away peacefully at the Emmanuel House on Friday, September 15, 2017 at the age of 97. He was predeceased by his wonderful wife Barry and is lovingly remembered by his daughter Joanne, son-in-law Tony, his cherished granddaughter Lisa (Greg) and adored grandson Brian (Emily). He will be sadly missed by his brother Harry Freelove, his sister-in-law Helen Edmonds, his wonderful nieces and nephews and his much loved great nieces and nephews.  Joe’s friends meant the world to him and the times they shared together will not be forgotten.  Joe was a WW2 British war veteran and prisoner of war. He worked for Westinghouse Canada for 35 years. He was a proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 36 (Dundas).  Joe loved spending his summers at his cottage on Lake Erie and playing golf was his greatest passion which he continued to enjoy right into his early 90’s.  Joe’s Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, October 1, 2017 from 2 – 4 pm at the Dundas Royal Canadian Legion 2nd floor at 280 King St. W. Dundas, ON  L9H 1W1.  If you so wish, donations made to Good Shepherd Centres Emmanuel House or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
