With great sadness we announce the passing of Joseph (Bennie) Hand at the Hamilton General Hospital on April 8th, 2014. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife Geraldine (Glen). Devoted father of John and Lori. Loving youngest son of the late Albert and Nora Hand. Predeceased by brothers John, Myles, Tom, Fred and Albert and sisters Mary, Nora, Alice, Dolores and Leona. Bennie was the carpenter for Firestone of Canada. Special thanks to Dr. John You, Dr. Maureen Meade, Dr. Clive Davis and Dr. Deborah Cook. A private family funeral was held at the Cattel, Eaton & Chambers Funeral Home at 53 Main Street, Dundas, ON. Internment at White Chapel Memorial Gardens in Hamilton, ON. Donations to the charity of your choice will be greatly appreciated by the family.

Peacefully at Alexander Place in Waterdown on Thursday, April 10, 2014 in her 89th year. Marjorie was predeceased by her loving husband Robert in 1998. Cherished mother of Gale (Paul) Millsap, Bob (Sue) Tunis and Nancy Tunis. Marjorie was predeceased by her brother Henry and is survived by her sisters Verna, Anna and Shirley. She will also be sadly missed by her grandchildren John, Jennifer, Brett, Andrew, Scott and Jason as well as great grandchildren Grace, Libby, Luke, Kaylan and Sloan. Marjorie was the past president of the Dundas Figure Skating Club and an avid supporter of the Dundas Community and the Jr. B’s. Friends will be received by the family on Sunday, April 13, 2014 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Cattel, Eaton & Chambers Funeral Home, 53 Main Street, Dundas. A private service will take place. Interment Grove cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to MacKids would be appreciated by the family.

Kush, Lillian (nee Karlechuk) – Lillian’s children, Kathy (Jack), Gary (Nova), Wayne (Helen), Marty, Greg (Deborah) sadly announce her passing on Wednesday, April 9th 2014. Lillian was predeceased by her beloved husband Joseph and sister Helen. She leaves behind sisters Mary and Arlene, 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 19th at 1 p.m. at the KINGDOM HALL OF JEHOVAH’S WITNESSES located at 178 Mountain Street, Grimsby. She is now resting faithfully in Jehovah’s loving memory awaiting the resurrection.

SIWAK, Louise (neeRobinson) It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Louise Siwak surrounded by her family at the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice on Wednesday, April 2 in her 85th year. Beloved wife of the late Stanley Siwak (2007). Loving mother of Diane and Rick Murray of Grimsby, and Carol Adamo and Mark Pongetti of Hamilton. Cherished grandmother of Crystal Murray and John Vieira , Scott Murray, and Gabriel Adamo. Adoring great-grandmother of Jessica and Michael. Predeceased by her parents Agnes and Leslie Robinson and brother George. Louise will be fondly remembered for her vibrant spirit, sense of humour, and passion for gardening. She was a loving and caring person who always put others first. The selfless hours devoted to volunteering at St. Joseph’s Villa and coffee hour at St. Mark’s Church were very precious to her. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her, including her many friends at St. Joseph’s Estates and St. Mark’s Church, lifelong friends Mary Stout and Jackie Butler, and special friend Priscilla Bayliss. Special thanks to Debbie Robinson and staff at Dr Bob Kemp Hospice for their exceptional care and support. Visitation will be held at the Cattel, Eaton & Chambers Funeral Home, 53 Main Street, Dundas on Sunday, April 6, from 4-8 pm. A funeral service will take place at St. Mark’s United Church, 1 Lynndale Drive, Dundas on Monday, April 7 at 11 am. Cremation has taken place. A private family interment to follow at a later date. Gordon Frederick Price – Passed away peacefully at Juravinski Hospital March 23rd in his 83rd year. He was predeceased by his parents Fred and Dorothy Price and sister Valerie and will be missed by his three children Shaun,Bob and Stephen and granddaughter Abbygail. Born in Portsmouth England, Gordon served his tool and die apprenticeship in Bristol before emigrating to Canada in 1963 where he settled with his family in Burlington. He enjoyed building model airplanes and listening to music. Cremation has taken place and a private service will be held.

Smith, Ardith Lynne (nee Tingley) 1952-2014. It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Ardith Smith peacefully in her home on Saturday morning, surrounded by her loving family. Loving wife and best friend for 26 years to Allan Pennie. A wonderful mother to Kirk (Fiammetta), cherished and proud Grandmother of Victoria, Vanessa and Kyle. Ardith will be missed by her sister Rhoda (Andy) (Jack deceased 2002), her brother Carson (Judy), and brother-in-law Richard (Brenda deceased 2013). She was predeceased by her sister Wendy, mother Jean and father Frank. Will be missed by her nieces and nephews, Lindsay (Dave), Ashley (Ryan), Sara, Austin, John (Rikki), Briana, Matt and Shayne. Lovingly remembered by her many aunts and uncles throughout Canada. We would like to thank the C.C.A.C for their loving and tender care in her final days. at Wentworth Lodge. Predeceased by her brother Harold, 1971 and husband Alonzo (Al), 1991, her sister-in-law Joanne
(Walter) and her brother-in-law Pat (Marie). She was a special sister-in-law to Caroline Ott, Joy Murray (Brian) and
their families. Loved mother of Bonnie McNab (Jim); loving grandmother to Greg (Chris), Janet Yates (John) and caring great gram to Gaby and Ali McNab, Nathan and Matthew Yates. Mom and Dad came from New Brunswick in the
early 1950’s, settling in Dundas, but never forgetting their “down home” connections. A proud Maritimer, she loved family gatherings, children, music and being in the church choir. In her later years she became an avid lawn bowler, continuing into her early 80’s. Staff at Wentworth Lodge have been providing mom with great care since 2008, appreciating her essence, understanding her cognitive changes, and our family thanks you. Friends will be received by the family on Wednesday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Oressa’s Service at 11:00 a.m. at the Cattel, Eaton & Chambers Funeral Home, 53 Main Street, Dundas. Fyfe, Gwendolyn (nee Wilde) – After a courageous battle, Gwen passed away on Friday, March 14, 2014 at the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice with loving family by her side. She will be dearly loved and missed by her children Jean-Paul (Sarah Suess), Wayne (Christine), Wendy (Ron Racine) and Michelle (Doug Thompson); 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and niece and nephew Lori and Brad Grundy. Predeceased by her husband David in 2004 and son Jim and his wife Alana. Gwen was a life member of the RCL Branch 500 in Lynden. She held the positions of Secretary, Vice President and for many of the last years headed up the Youth and Education Group. Friends will be received by family on Monday evening from 6-9 p.m. (Legion Service at 6:30 p.m.) at the Cattel, Eaton & Chambers Funeral Home, 53 Main Street, Dundas where Gwen’s Service will take place on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. Cremation to follow.
