RAISER, Vera (nee Toolivetro) – December 12, 1921 – May 17, 2015   Born in Ancaster Ontario, Vera was a true Canadian who loved Canada so much. Vera left this world for a better place; passing peacefully at the incredible age of 93. Vera was an amazing woman with many talents and lived her life with adventure and passion. Throughout the years she got to be in many movies and enjoyed meeting some famous celebrities along the way. She loved belonging to Experimental Aircraft where she met some inspirational members. Vera loved to travel and was warmed by meeting and talking with some orphans in Egypt. She took a trip to Turkey and went back for another because she found the people so fascinating and warm hearted. She was a wonderful cook and homemaker in her younger years. She was a very affectionate Mother to her three children; Carolyn, Gary (Carla) and youngest son Lorne who left early to be in heaven in 2005. Vera was in a loving marriage to her childhood sweetheart Art Raiser who also left to heaven in 1981. Vera has 5 grandchildren; Rick, Erik, Josh, Sonja and Kari and 4 great grandchildren.  Vera also leaves behind her sister Maya, and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters and a lovely niece.  Although the body has to be given back and the spirit goes to God, the Lord graciously allows the heart and soul to stay with the ones left behind. Although we will dearly miss her, her heart is with us forever and until we meet again. The family will have a private service. Her burial is at Woodland.
