Suddenly at St. Peter’s Hospital on Wednesday, August 12, 2015. Gertrude was predeceased by her husband Donald (2013). Cherished mother of Edward (Suzanne), Larrie (Valerie), John, Patrick (Dianne), Michael (Linda) and Paul (Janet). Gertrude is survived by her brothers John and George and sister Patricia and was predeceased by her sister Viola. Loving grandmother of 11 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Friends will be received by the family on Friday afternoon and evening from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. at the Cattel, Eaton & Chambers Funeral Home, 53 Main Street, Dundas, where a Funeral Service for Gertrude will be held on Saturday, August 15, at 10 am. Interment to follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Peter’s Hospital or a Charity of your Choice would be appreciated by the family.

Douglas, Paula Sylvia (nee Jamison) – At St. Joseph’s Villa Sunday August 9th, 2015 in her 93rd year. Beloved wife of John Douglas for over 70 years. Loving mother of Jan (Robert) Dundas, Paula Ann Pryde, Kim (Frank) Nutzenberger, Lyn (Brad) Douglas-Peters. Caring grandmother of Jonathan (Stephanie), Nicola (Alex), Jessica (Chase), Stefanie, Marcus, Alexander, Kyle, Tyler, Addyson, Rain Paris, Castle Rock, Trainor and great-grandmother of Eva and Luca Weatherford. Paula will be sadly missed by Bryan Pryde, Des and Catherine McGregor. Predeceased by grandson Evan. A private family service will be held at a later date. If desired, memorial contributions to the Davis Centre Day Program, Bolton, ON, would be greatly appreciated by the family.

HARRIS, Eva Luella May (nee Symes) – Peacefully at Grace Villa on Monday August 3, 2015 in her 83rd year. Beloved wife of the late Arthur Harris and the late Bastiaan Denhaan. Loving mother to David (Alison) Denhaan, Neil (Wendy) Denhaan, and Brian (Kim) Denhaan. Caring grandmother to Nicholas, Leah, and Vienna. Predeceased by her parents David and Lily Symes, and her brother Edward Symes. Cremation has taken place. A private family service will be held at a later date. te Grotenhuis, Rita (nee Jansen) – Passed away peacefully to be with her Lord and Saviour, on August 2, 2015, at the age of 66. Beloved wife of Hans te Grotenhuis for 46 wonderful years. Dearly loved by her children Marcel (Norah) te Grotenhuis, Ken (Anne) te Grotenhuis. Loving Oma of Kaitlyn, Alyssa, Ethan, and Moriah. Rita will also be missed by her brother Dick (Jenny) Jansen, her nieces, nephews, and friends. Predeceased by her brother Gerard (Celle) Jansen. Together, we mourn, with thanksgiving, for her love of family, her strong faith, and character. She touched many lives and will be missed deeply. The family wishes to thank the Nephrology team at St. Joseph’s hospital in Hamilton, and a special thanks to Pastor Rita. Visitation will be held at ANCASTER CHRISTIAN REFORMED CHURCH, 70 Garner Road West, Ancaster on Wednesday, August 5 from 6-9 p.m. Service of Thanksgiving will take place at ANCASTER CHRISTIAN REFORMED CHURCH at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 6. Private interment beforehand. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Kidney Foundation of Canada are appreciated.

SACCOMANO, William (Guglielmo) – After a short illness it is with great sadness that we announce the passing of William on Friday July 31st, 2015 in his 85th year. He will be deeply missed by his wife Shirley (nee Patton), sister Aida Saccomano, sons Jim (Sue), Rick (Rose), Mike (Angela), daughters Carmen (John), Cathy (Roy), eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Predeceased by grandsons J.W. McCurlie and Ryan William Saccomano, parents Longino and Ester Saccomano. Cremation has taken place. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. Pegg, M. Jean (Norsworthy) – Peacefully at the Hamilton General Hospital on Saturday morning, July 25th in her 96th year. Mom is predeceased by her husband Rusty in 1996, and nine brothers and sisters. She will be sadly and greatly missed by son Clarke (Sue), daughters Lana Costigan (Jack); Lee Marcucci (John) and granddaughters Shawna, Michelle and Danielle. A special thank you is extended to the staff on 6 West at the Hamilton General Hospital for their care and compassion with Mom over the last several weeks. Cremation has taken place. Friends and family will be received at 10:00am on Thursday, July 30th with a service to follow at 11:00am at JERSEYVILLE UNITED CHURCH, 16 Field Road, Jerseyville. A private family Interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers and as an expression of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation or SPCA would be appreciated by the family.
