Dave will be missed dearly
He was a wonderful man
I don’t think there would be anybody that would disagree
I have worked with Dave for about 30 years at Rothsay we were both drivers
I’d worked with him sometimes when he was a relief driver and he was always friendly helpful
He never had a bad word to say about anyone that I have ever heard
He once told me his dad told him if you have nothing good to say then say nothing, he sure stuck by that
It was sad watching him fight cancer force 6 years, I never seen anyone that fought as hard as he did to fight this cancer
Even with him fighting as hard as he was, he always had a smile on his face and friendly
We have got together for some dinners over the last few years and I sure treasure that
He came to my celebration last June for my retirement and 65th birthday
He was not feeling the best, but he still showed up
I am so glad he did as there were drivers that were here that he used to work with. It was like a Rothsay reunion of drivers
I think he was happy to see everyone
I was honored that he came to celebrate with me. I will never forget you, Dave. I’m heartbroken. 💔
So young and such a wonderful man. Dave will be missed

So very sorry to hear of David’s passing. My condolences to his family.
Although I hadn’t seen Dave in ages I remember him well from when he coached my son in little league baseball. He was always such a positive influence with the kids; patient and kind. Even on the sweltering days in parks with no shade, his enthusiasm and humour never dimmed.
He set a great example for all the kids he coached. This is a tragic loss. Rest easy, Dave.
