Brian Moore, aged 64, passed away at North York General Hospital on August 12, 2026. He was Born on June 5, 1962 in the town of Johnstone, Renfrewshire in Scotland. Brian lived in Paisley, Scotland until 1974, when he moved to Toronto to live with his eldest sister after the loss of his parents.
Brian spent many years as a skilled and talented printing press operator at Splendour Printing and later at Thistle Printing in Toronto. His warmth and humour left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
He leaves behind his children Emily (Jacob), James (Katelyn), and Anne; and their mother Wilma, Brian’s former spouse. He will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by his brother-in-law William, niece Jennifer (Jorge); his siblings in Scotland, Margaret (John), Jim (Catherine), and their families; Angela (Alan) and their children; Nicola; and extended family in Scotland and Canada.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Anne, and eldest sister, Mary (William).
A private family funeral will be held in Hamilton on Friday, August 28, 2026. A Celebration of Life is to be planned in the near future.
Heartbroken… Til we meet again brother. 51 years… you’ll always be “Moore”, and I’ll always be your brother!

I will always cherish the memories I have of Brian , in our shared childhood here in Paisley and the few times that I saw him when He returned to Scotland.
My most prominent memory was his surprise that I was still smiling after delivering my daughter in 1992. I can hear his exclamation still ..”9 12, 9 12! And you’re still smiling” He was so jolly . Fly high dear cousin .
