Linda Rose Dembe of Hamilton passed away peacefully at the age of 76.
Linda’s greatest joy was her family. She was the proud and loving mother of Michael (Julie Brendon) and Paul (Jennifer Oneill) and a beloved grandmother to Tovah, Noah, Jonah, Elijah and Nick. She was the daughter of the late Wilbur and Flora Roberts.
Linda is survived by her sister, Lavinia Lenz (Dale). She was a cherished aunt to Erin (Martin) and Greg (Carol).
Linda retired from the Ontario Ministry of the Attorney General, where she worked as a Manager for the Superior Court of Justice. In retirement, she enjoyed many years traveling and living in Florida, where she loved the warmth and sunshine.
Linda will be deeply missed by her family and all those who knew and loved her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind. As per Linda’s request there will be no funeral.
I want to send my sincere condolences to the Dembe family, especially to Michael and Paul. As was stated in her obituary Linda loved her family more than anything in this world.
Linda lived in Florida for more than 10 years, and developed a love for an another family. She was loved and cherished by 6 Grandkids who called her Grandma Linda. Also was Loved and Adored by her Ex Husband Neil. MAY HER MEMORY BE CHERISHED FOREVER.🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹.
Linda was a wonderful friend to me when I first moved to Canada in 1987. She was a friend for life, and we had some lovely memories along the way! I was sad when she moved to Florida, but we still got together when she came to Hamilton to visit with family and friends! I went to Florida when I could to visit with her too! It is with shock and much sadness that I learned of the passing of Linda. Although our lives took different paths and we were not close in the last few years, I will always remember the good times we shared earlier in our friendship.
We had the pleasure of working together for many years at the John Sopinka courthouse. I have many fond memories of those days—conversations, laughter, lunches, and simply enjoying each other’s company. A special memory is the time myself and three other girlfriends vacationed together at Linda’s condo in Florida. Those were happy times, filled with friendship, relaxation and memories that I will always treasure.
Some friendships change with time and distance, but that does not diminish the place a person holds in our memories. I feel fortunate to have known Linda and to have shared time with her. She was a unique lady.
I hope her family and other loved ones find comfort in knowing how much she was appreciated and in the many wonderful memories she left behind.
Rest peacefully, Linda. You will be remembered with much affection.
I am heartbroken to hear of Linda’s passing. My sincere condolences to Michael and Paul and her beautiful family. I was so blest to have gone on a cruise with Linda the last time we were together. Lots of drinking, eating and sharing stories from the past. Linda truly valued her family above anything else. Sending my virtual hugs to all of you. 💔

So saddened to hear of Linda’s passing. I feel fortunate to have worked with her and to have shared good times both in Ancaster and Florida. Her beautiful spirit, laughter and kindness will always be remembered. My heartfelt condolences to her family.
I was sorry and sad to read of Linda’s passing in the paper. We were friends and coworkers at the Ministry for several years enjoying and sharing in conversations, meals and lots of laughter. I have very fond memories of all those fun visits in her Ancaster and Florida condos. My deepest condolences to her family.
