Beloved little brother to Ron (Susan Gagne) of Burlington, and Steve (Noel) of Laguna Niguel, California. Brother-in-law to Richard and Robin Haworth of Lowbanks, and Carol Lochhead of Crystal Beach. He was a man of many talents. A devoted friend, soccer coach, dance dad, dog lover, and a jack of all trades who could fix or build anything. Brian was generous with his time and talents, helping friends and neighbours throughout the years. Brian was a talented and passionate musician, and his love of music was immeasurable. He played in multiple bands over the last 4 decades bringing immense joy and many memories to his family and friends.
Brian’s life may have been a short one, but it was one filled with love, family, friendship, adventures, and music. His legacy will live on in all who were fortunate to share in the beautiful and brilliant life he created.
Heartfelt thanks to the staff at St. Joseph’s Healthcare, Juravinski Cancer Centre, and St. Peter’s Hospital. The family is grateful for the care and compassion shown to Brian by his doctors (D Ludwin, C Clause, S Yohanna, S Mukerjee, E Shaw, and J Solomon).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests registering as an organ donor, or donating to the Cancer Assistance Program or the Kidney Foundation of Canada in memory of Brian.

This obituary for Brian David Csermak is very moving. It’s clear from the details provided—loving husband, devoted daddy, cherished youngest son—that he was deeply loved by his family. It’s always hard to read these notices, but these personal touches make his memory feel very real. My thoughts are with Deb, Sarah, and the entire family during this difficult time.
Brian, with what four houses between us, we shared a school bus stop beginning with Greensville in garde 2. True friendship came later. So many memories of fun at Parkside and after bounce around my head today.
I loved coming out to see your band. The joy on your face as you got to share your passion with the crowd was contagious.
It is time to go home for a rest. You will be missed by so many lives you touched. Thank you for being part of my life. R&B music will continue to bring a smile and a moment to remember the “boy who walked uphill both ways to school with me”.
Sarah and Deb, I’m thinking about you at this time. I was so sad to hear this news. My deepest condolences. Brian will be truly missed by his family, friends and the musical community. Grace and peace.
My deepest condolences. Brian was one of my favorite or least Gennum. I worked directly with him on the the world’s first noise cancelling headset. We also had a Gennum band that performed at the Christmas party a few years. He was one of a kind and super talented. RIP Brain fo living a full life dispite your health challenges.
Most sincere condolences to Brian’s family and friends.
May you find the strength to get through this.

I can’t begin to find words that express my grief and covey my condolences properly. Brian was like a cousin , we grew up neighbours and my professional life was entertained with his. He was incredibly talented and so kind to share his gifts with others all the while constantly battling health issues. Please take so solace in mowing he fought the good fight and now rests with John in heaven. Kornelia and I send our heartfelt sympathies and prayers. Many hugs and much love.

Hi Debbie and Family
So sorry to hear from Karen about your loss of your husband. We hope you find comfort in knowing we are keeping you in our prayers.
We do remember the happy times when you would come to our home after school to wait for your mother to pick you up after her work day.
Our prayers are with you.
Goodbye, my friend, Brian. You were an example of courage to me. You led a good life, having a family, getting a good job, and keeping a place for music in your life. I remember our talks about music, creativity and people. You were always up for a laugh, had a great sense of humour, and listened respectfully to my stories. We went different ways after high school but I always knew I had a friend in Greensville. I admired what you were able to do with music. Playing the sax professionally, and even singing Rolling Stone covers was amazing and I was proud to have been your band mate once upon a time. I will miss you.
We are so sorry to hear of the death of Brian. Brian worked with my partner, Andrew Barrow, back in the day at Gennum and we were lucky to stay friends with him – how could you not be friends with such a kindly, funny, cheerful man who enjoyed all the quirks of life? The world is less fun without him. We wish your family the joy of memories and warmth of the love you have for Brian.
So sorry for your loss, this is such sad new. My condolences to the family and friends. I worked with Brian, Steve ans Ron, all wonderful men. Hugs sent to all.
I’m so sorry to hear of Brian’s passing, he was such a kind and friendly fellow who always had something positive to say. I was lucky to be his teammate all those years ago.
