Bill had a “grounding” that helped me to understand more about what was going on in our community and especially in our mutual parish community. He was always polite, always courteous … and he had this mischievous smile. My heart goes out to Sue and all of the McGinley family at this difficult time; may he rest in peace and rise again in glory.

My dear Sue, I was so sorry to hear of your beloved Bill’s passing. It seems like only yesterday that you phoned to say that Bill was a very sick man and could we please ensure that his full name be mentioned in our Prayers of the People section of last Sundays’s service. He was a very good man Sue and you can be assured that he will be missed but remembered for his sense of humour and willingness to give a helping hand when needed.
God’s blessings on you and your family.

I first met Bill 60 years ago when we both worked at the Dundas arena. I would run into Bill and Sue at times and he still had a joke to share. Sue and family, my condolences and I’m glad I had the pleasure of knowing such a wonderful man.

So sorry to hear of Bill’s passing. Will always remember him chasing us kids from playing foot hockey behind the end blues at Dundas arena only to find myself working alongside him a few years later. He was always happy, always joking and so enamoured with Suzie from the booth (one of Lil’s girls). Our sincere condolences to Sue and the McGinley family. Rest in peace Gint.

Susan and Family,
Sorry to hear of Bill’s passing. Lots of memories of growing up around the Melville/Sydenham area and then years of working with Bill in recreation for Flamborough.
He was a good guy and will be missed.
Sue and Family
I had the pleasure of working with Bill in the 80’s while I worked for the Town of Flamborough as it’s Director of Community Services. I could always rely on him to give me straight up goods on whatever issue we were dealing with. The Town was blessed to have someone like Bill working for them as he managed the arena as though he owned it. After I left I always enjoyed running into him as he always had a joke or two and his smile and laughter was ever present. I will never forget Bill and I offer you my prayers at this difficult time
God Bless
Thinking of you, Sue and family. Bill was my first boss at the North Wentworth Community Centre (aka the arena), and later I always enjoyed running into him in Dundas. We had great “catch-up” chats, and even though he could be quite cheeky, I always liked our visits. RIP Bill.
Sorry to hear of Bill’s passing. He was my first boss also at the North Wentworth rink, a place that became like a second home to me in my teenage years. My condolences to the family.
Dear PJ and family,
Thinking of your entire family during this difficult time, and hoping you can find peace in the memories you have. Our sincerest condolences.
