HAMSTRA, Grace (nee Zylstra) – The Lord, in His infinite wisdom, took unto Himself our loving and caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother on Saturday, December 22, 2018 in her 94th year. Dear wife, for 67 years, of the late Jacob Hamstra. Cherished mother of Jerry and Trudy Hamstra, Sylvia and Carl Schouls, Audrey and Albert Wassink, Elizabeth and George Bouwmeester and Kathy and Ray Pennings. Predeceased by all her brothers and sisters; Joekje (Pieter) Miedema, Gauke (Tine) Zylstra, Eelkje (Gosse) Postma and Willem (Rieke) Zylstra. A loving sister-in-law to the late Kathleen Hamstra, the late Gerald & Theresa Hamstra, the late Ralph & Jeanette Haalstra, Peter & Audrey Hamstra and Peter & Willy VandenBerg. Our dear mother will be remembered as one who took a great interest in all that her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren did. They all loved her in return. We as a family sincerely thank the staff of Shalom Manor in Grimsby for their loving care for our mother. Family and friends will be received at the Ebenezer Free Reformed Church, 253 Weirs Lane, Dundas, Ontario on Thursday, December 27, 2018, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the Ebenezer Free Reformed Church on Friday, December 28th at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial donations to Peace Haven (Brantford) or the Rehoboth Christian School (Copetown). Funeral service to be conducted by Rev. L. J. Bilkes.

My condolences to the family. I have many wonderful childhood memories of time spent with Audrey and her family. I’m glad I had a chance to visit with your Mom recently…I’m sure she will be missed!
