Lee, Mary Gertrude – It is with profound sadness that the family announces the passing of Mary Gertrude Lee (nee Mulligan) on Friday January 5, 2018 at Amica of Dundas in her 93rd year. Loving wife of Mel (deceased). Beloved Mother of Marilynne (Ken), Dianne (Doug) and David (deceased). Proud and doting Grandmother of David (Kaylyn); Stacey; Sadie, Andrew and Gregory. Survived by her sister Karen(Jim) and sisters-in-law Eldene and Eileen. Mary will be fondly remembered by numerous nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. Mary graduated from the University of Toronto College of Pharmacy in1948 and with Mel, established Lee Pharmacy in Dundas where they worked together for four decades. As a Mother, Mary was loving, compassionate, selfless and supportive of any and all her children’s initiatives. As a doting Grandmother, she embraced her role. We have been blessed to have had such an extraordinary woman in our lives. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Mary’s life will be held later in the spring. Memorial donations in Mary’s memory can be made to the McMaster Children’s Hospital Foundation, PO Box 739 Stn LCD1, Hamilton ON L8N 3M8 or a charity of choice.
I will miss Aunt Mary. A wonderful, wonderful person. I have so many memories. A great icon for my generation!

Dear Marilyn and Diane: Your Mom was one one of my dearest, long term friends and I will greatly miss her! I have so many wonderful memories of , not only time spent with her , but time Lyle and I spent with both your Mom and Dad. Many a laugh ( and an occasional good-natured quarrel) over euchre games. Somehow Lyle and Mel always won because they were rusk takers and Mary and I were a little more “calculated and cautious” let’s say! She was a good friend and one thing I know for sure- her children and grand children were the lights of her life.
Our condolences from her long time neighbours on Robin Hood.
