BARNARD, Sarah Donelda “Donna” (nee Hudie) – December 7, 1924 – March 30, 2017

After a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s disease, Donna peacefully passed away at Regina Gardens at the age of 92.  Predeceased by loving husband Frank (2015), she is survived by son, Ian (Shana) and daughter, Peggy (Michael).  Grandmother to Robert (Kristin) and Christopher (Shawna).  Also survived by her sister Mary Cameron of London, Ont, nephew Dr. David Cameron (Jill) and niece Brenda Cameron-Locke (Tim).   Donna was a strong, independent woman as well as a wonderful homemaker.  Married to Frank for more than 62 years, she was an avid curler and enjoyed an active social life that included sailing, volunteer work and a love of the theatre and the Hamilton Philharmonic.   She was also a long time member of the I.O.D.E. – Stanley Baldwin Chapter.   Visitation at Turner Family Funeral Home, 53 Main St., Dundas, Sunday, April 2, 2017 from 2-4pm.  Service at the Funeral Home , Monday, April 3 at 11:00am with reception to follow.   Cremation has taken place.  Many thanks to the wonderful staff at Regina Gardens.  Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Hamilton-Halton.
