February 21, 1961 – November 26, 2016
Kindt, Christina “Tina” (nee Saccomano) – It is with broken hearts we announce the passing of our dear mother, who passed peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, November 26, 2016. She will be loved and missed always by her parents Alfred and Martina; her children Jordan (BreAnna), Tyler (Stacy), Ryan (Christina); her sister Laura (Larry Wigham); her brothers Robert (Debbie), Stephen (Antoinette) and Dave (Genny) and many nieces and nephews. One of the greatest joys in Tina’s life was spending time with family and friends. She was a loving caregiver to her parents, a devoted mother and kind sister. Tina had a passion for photography, capturing many special moments in the lives of family and friends. Special thanks to the staff at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital for their care. Friends will be received by the family on Thursday evening from 6-9pm at the Turner Family Funeral Home, 53 Main Street, Dundas. Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held for Tina, at her request. In remembrance, donations to the Canadian Red Cross or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.

So sad to hear this news. Working at the Toronto Zoo gave me an opportunity to meet and fall in love with this amazing person. Our weekly phone calls to vent about staff, vendors or life in general were always fun. Buying trips to Gatlinburg where we could meet up and source out new products was always a hi-lite of the year! Tina was a fantastic buyer who could spot trends and opportunities. More importantly she was a wonderful person who loved her kids, her career and life in general. Never one to back down from an opinion but always with a laugh and a twinkle in her eyes. I got to meet and work with a lot of good people over my 28 years at the zoo and Tina was definitely at the top of my list. I will cherish having known such a special lady!
Working at the Toronto Zoo, I had the wonderful opportunity to meet and spend time with Tina while on trips to Gatlinburg. She was such an easy person to get to know, was so willing to share information and buying tips with, and made the trips that much more fun. My condolences to her family, my thoughts are with you.
Tina was my “boss” for 8 years at the African Lion Safari. I just learned of her passing today. She was always a fair and caring Supervisor to many teenagers. She was like a work mom to all of us! I will always remember her with fondness! My thoughts go out to her sons that she loved with all her heart.
