Zimmerman, Mary – Peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer on Monday, February 16, 2015 at the Juravinski Hospital in her 68th year. Mary was predeceased by her loving husband Ike. Cherished mother of Lynne (Mike), Sherri ( Rod), Jim (Diane) and Kim (Craig). Sadly missed by her sister Lynda (Brian) and predeceased by her brother Ken (Carol). Much loved grandmother to Thomas, Allyssa, Renee, Danielle, Chaz, Tanner, Hadleigh, Mackenzie, Olivia, James and Emma. Also sadly missed by her nephew Brad, niece Sara (Jordan), great-nephews Jonathan and Michael, niece Amy (Ken) and great-nephews Mason, Carter, Trenton and Lincoln. Friends will be received by the family on Thursday evening from 7-9 p.m. at the Cattel, Eaton & Chambers Funeral Home, 53 Main Street, Dundas, where the Celebration of Mary’s Life will take place on Friday at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at White Chapel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Juravinski Cancer Centre or the Cancer Assistance Program would be appreciated by the family.
We are so sorry to hear that Mary has passed away. We are in Florida & will not be able to be at the memorial service.

Your Mom and I had not kept in touch over the past few years and I am so vey sad to hear now of her death from cancer. A flood of memories has come back of such good times and the many laughs we had working together at the Board Office. She was a wonderful woman with great strength and determination and she loved her family beyond anything else. My thoughts are with you all. I wish that I could be there on Friday.

I am so sorry to hear this news. My sympathy to you all. I had a visit with Mary at Food Basics in Listowel a few years ago, she recognized me and stopped me, we had a nice chat it had been such a long time since I had seen her. I have found memories of her and my mom spending time together.

Sherri and Lynne – so sorry to hear about your Mom. What a great lady she was. It doesn’t really seem that long ago that I would be over there during the week babysitting you two while your Mom went out to bingo. Later on, when I started at the Board office, it was so great to see her each day. She always had a great outlook on life, and was a joy to be around. She will be dearly missed.
