I have wonderful memories of my dear Aunty Ann. I loved to visit her on McNab street as a child. She was tall and slim and her hair was always impeccable. My mom (Helen) told me Aunty Ann used a satin pillow case to keep it so perfect, which to me as 6-year old, seemed very extravagant. She was very loving and had a wonderful smile. Her crystal bowl always had a good supply of caramels. We spent a lot of time reviewing her Avon items that she had carefully placed in her cabinets. As we got older my brother and sister and eventually our children enjoyed visiting the farm. Aunty Ann loved to talk about the animals and take us out to the barn to see the latest offspring.
My mom Helen, loved Ann dearly. As the two sisters struggled with their illnesses, they continued to connect until my mom no longer had the strength to visit. My mother always had Ann in her thoughts and prayers.
We are sad that you are gone Aunty Ann, but glad that you have escaped from the disease that shrouded your wonderful spirit.
