Oct 5 1927 – July 2 2013 – It is with saddened hearts we inform you of the passing of Orv on Tuesday, July 2nd 2013 at the Juravinski Hospital, Hamilton in his 86th year. Loving husband and best friend of 63 years to Eileen, devoted father to Nancy (Mike) Brown of Simcoe, Paul (Julie) Reynolds of St. Catharines and their children, Kyle and Christopher, brother to Shirley Carscadden, of Sault Ste. Marie. Predeceased by his infant daughter Rebecca Jane (1958). Orv began his teaching career in 1948 and retired from the Hamilton Board of Education as a Principal in 1984. For 23 years Orv was a member of the Choir at Central Presbyterian Church, 165 Charlton St., West, Hamilton, where a Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 13th 2013 at 11a.m. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice, in his memory would be appreciated.

Judi and I and all of our family are so sorry to hear of Orv’s passing away. There are so many happy memories of activities involving the Reynolds family and the Whitmore family going back for many years. Most importantly we remember and are forever thankful for the kindness and good friendship Orv and Eileen have provided to our mother Doris especially during these last few years when she needed it so much. Orv was a wonderful man and we shall all miss him greatly.
My deepest sympathy to Eileen and Family. It has been my privilege to have Orv as a neighbour. He was always kind and helpful. I will certainly miss him and even the birds in our back yard will miss him.
