With great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of our family matriarch at 101. Florence was the beloved wife for 72 years of the late Herbert. Loving mother of Gaye Welch, Barbara, and David (Teri). Nanny will be missed by her grandchildren, Bree-Anne and Kyle, Shelley, Lisa (Alam), Scott (Michaella) and Jenna (Greg). She was proud to be Great Nanny to Olivier, Violette and Nicholas, Nyla, Lina and Nadia, Nora and Charlotte, George and Felix. Florence was predeceased by her brothers Sidney, Charles, Thomas and George and will be remembered fondly by many nieces and nephews. She was an avid gardener, a long-time member of Dundas Valley G. & C.C. and an R.C.A.F. wife based in Gimli, MB. during W.W.II. The family would like to thank Ridgeview L.T.C. for their care. Kelly Britz of Hamilton, Ontario passed away peacefully at home, in his sleep. Kelly was born and raised in Dundas, and was the youngest of five children. Kelly spent his formative years in Dundas attending grade school and high school in town before moving to Hamilton to open a business. He was a very skilled fisherman and took great pleasure in it over the years. Kelly was also a wizard with tools and made it his career for a short time in his life. Life wasn’t always easy but Kelly did it his own way and abided by his choices. Kelly had the best laugh in the world! So infectious and so original! Kelly was predeceased by his loving Mother and Father, Theresa and Clemens Britz; his sisters Florence, Darlene, his brother Ronald and sister-in-law Maureen (Moe) Britz. Kelly leaves behind his loving wife Lori Loucas. They were everything to each other and best friends throughout anything life sent their way. She will find comfort in their memories of happy times and will carry his love with her. Also, left to mourn their Father, are Kelly’s precious children Katelyn and Tyler. Kelly is survived by his big brother Del who will remember him always with love. He will also be sadly missed by a legion of nieces and nephews who will hold him in their hearts forever. It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maureen Farmer on July 4, 2024. She leaves behind her loving children (Tracy and Matthew) and her husband (Ian).
Born in Somerset, England Maureen emigrated to Canada in 1964. She married her childhood sweetheart the following year. She was a lover of animals (especially her cats) and a committed vegetarian. She was a devoted friend who loved a good laugh. Maureen was an avid reader and Jeopardy fan and passed her love of books onto her children. She will be remembered with love and fondness by her family and friends.

Passed away peacefully on June 26, 2024 at Margaret’s Place in Dundas. Loving wife of the late Robert (Bob) Page. Predeceased by her sister Barbara. Proud mother of Chris (Nina), Carol, and Sandy Gillies (Grant). Adoring grandmother of Taylor (Greg), Matt (Ryley), Jake (Jade), Adam (Lily) and Quinten. Lou was a lifelong resident of the greater Hamilton area and obtained a Bachelor of Arts from McMaster University as a mature student. She was an avid reader and loved learning new things, often making her way through several books a week. She enjoyed travelling and was dedicated to her daily ‘brain training routine’ of crosswords and complex Sudoku puzzles. She was an incredible cook and baker, but loved nothing more than eating Twizzlers red licorice (and not having to share!). Lou was a skilled bridge player and enjoyed her weekly card games with many friends, including Jean, Mary, and Heather. The family extends their sincere thanks to the amazing staff and volunteers at Margaret’s Place for the wonderful care and support they provided throughout her end-of-life journey. At her request, there will be no visitation or service. Cremation has taken place. We love you Grandma Lou!! You will be forever in our hearts. XOXO. Beloved husband to Susan (nee Patterson) for 62 years. Father of Christine Koehler (Stephen), Laura Wagstaffe, Kelly Dupuy (Paul). Grandfather to Shannon Koehler, Sarah Koehler (Sam), Luc Dupuy, Eric Dupuy, and Emily Dupuy. Great-grandfather to Sebastian James Boudreau.
Jim grew up in East Hamilton and spent a lot of time in the Wagstaffe Jam Factory. He worked for Manulife Financial for 32 years, and volunteered at McMaster Hospital for 20 years. Jim also volunteered at the Buckhorn Community Centre for 40 years, especially for the Fine Art Show. Jim spent winters in Winter Haven, Florida, and summers at the cottage in Buckhorn. He is predeceased by brothers Paul and Doug, sister Joan Howard and niece Carolyn Westoby. Jim is survived by his brother Mike (Jan), and many nieces and nephews.

It is with great sadness that the family of Shirley Regan announces her peaceful passing on June 21, 2024. Beloved spouse of Jim for 50 years. Loving mother and best friend of Elizabeth. Adoring grandmother of Emma and Dylan Wade. Dear sister to Rosanne Alfano (James) and Nancy Jakabfy (Tom) and the late Frances Ciancone. She is lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews and grand-nieces and nephews. Shirley will also be missed by many dear friends.
Shirley was a dedicated and beloved teacher in Dundas and Waterdown for 35 years. She will be fondly remembered by her students. Shirley was truly remarkable. She could command a classroom with compassion, a wonderful shopping & travel companion, planned beautiful get-togethers and fiercely loved her friends and family.
A private funeral was held at Turner Family Funeral Home, interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery and a celebration of life gathering at Royal Botanical Gardens on June 26.

John Anthony Chitty M. Eng. – Passed away at the Juravinski Hospital on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 in his 78th year. Beloved husband of Paddy (nee FitzSimon) for 51 years. He will also be missed by Michael (Laurie) FitzSimon, Sharon FitzSimon (Gerry Dion), nieces, and Miss Muggins. John, a retired Manager of Metallurgical and Repair Services at SIEMENS Westinghouse, loved nature, walks, reading, travelling, particularly to Ireland, music, chocolate, and red wine. He was very kind, fair, and brutally honest. John had a really quiet, sharp sense of humour. He was very well respected in both his personal life and his professional life. Friends and family are invited to Turner Family Funeral Home, 53 Main St, Dundas, ON, on Sunday, July 21, 2024 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. for a Celebration of John’s Life. Passed away suddenly at St. Joseph’s Hospital on June 9th, 2024 in his 80th year.
Ron will be sadly missed and forever remembered by his wife of 56 years, Marion; his children Brian (Amanda) and Cara (Tom), and his granddaughters Maddy and Julianne. Predeceased by his parents William and Vera. He will also be greatly missed by his brother, Roger, sisters Sharon and Lorie-Anne as well as many in-laws, nieces and nephews, other extended family and friends.
Ron was a longtime teacher at Parkside High School and member of Knox Presbyterian Church in Dundas.
A private service for Ron will be held at Turner Family Funeral Home on Friday, June 14th, officiated by Reverend John Read. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, 31 Sulpher Springs Rd, Ancaster.

Paul is survived by his wife Jan, son, Ross, granddaughters, Dana and Marissa and God-daughter Ashley in Victoria B.C..
He is also survived by his sister Nancy (Bill d.) in Ottawa, sister-in-law, Wendy whose help over the years continues, and brother-in-law, Gerry (Anne) in Nova Scotia.
Paul is predeceased by parents, Lois and René and sister Kaaren.
Sincere thank you to Dr. C. Demers, his extraordinary cardiologist, and arrhythmia doctor, G. Acosta. Besides your medical expertise, you provided him with emotional comfort and hope to fight on until his tired heart could no more.
Joseph Whittaker, aged 89, passed away peacefully with family by his side on Monday, June 3, 2024. Born in Halifax, England on January 24, 1935, Joe was the youngest of nine children.
Predeceased by his beloved wife Pauline, Joe is survived by his loving children, Steven (Janina) and Gail (Rob). He was a proud Papa to Amie (Trevor), Justin, and Shane (Jenna). He was also a playful Great Papa to Olivia and Chloe.
Joe enlisted in the army at the age of 18, where he served England with dedication during the Suez Canal Crisis. In 1958, he married the love of his life, Pauline. Together, they built a beautiful life and in 1972, moved their family to Dundas, Ontario, Canada where they forged many cherished friendships, turning friends into family.
A hardworking lorry (truck) driver in England, Joe continued his industrious ways after moving to Canada and worked at Westinghouse before transitioning to a role in maintenance with the Hamilton School Board. Famously known for his “WHOJOE” license plate, he was a handyman extraordinaire, always ready to fix anything for anyone in need. His bright blue eyes, playful smile and generous spirit made him a popular person to know.
Joe had a passion for golf, spending countless summer days on the greens with his friends. He was also a regular at the local legion and Air Force Club, where he enjoyed playing snooker. His devotion to his wife Pauline was evident in his role as her personal chauffeur, accompanying her on countless shopping trips with joy and love.
Joe will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. His memory will live on in the hearts of those he touched with his kindness and generosity.
Cremation has taken place, and a celebration of Joe’s life will be held on Tuesday, June 11th, from 6 PM to 8 PM at the Royal Canadian Legion, 280 King Street West, Dundas.
