Passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospital on Monday, October 28, 2019 in her 91st year. Beloved wife of the late Artur. Loving mother to Rolfe (Marion), Vern, John (Deanne), Victor (Heather) and Doris (Rob). Caring grandmother to Matthew, Colin, Erika, Lauren, Andrew, Kevin and Kate and great-grandmother to Lissette Andrea, Aliyah and Jayden. Hedwig was a long time resident of Dundas and happiest when spending time at home with her family and tending to her garden. Friends and family are invited to Turner Family Funeral Home, 53 Main St, Dundas, on Sunday November 3, 2019 from 6 – 8pm. A private family service and interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Canadian Arthritis Society or a charity of your choice.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our sweet mother Patricia (Pat). Pat died peacefully at Shalom Village, West Hamilton, on Sunday, October 27th. Predeceased by her husband Max, her parents, Bob and Kitty Wilson, and her sisters, Kay, Violet, Frances and Irene. Loving mother to Bob and Judy Taylor and Lisa and Steve Nicholson. Cherished grandmother to Leah, Zachary and Kara. Also survived by her sister Audrey Lightfoot and her nieces and nephews. Pat’s family meant everything to her, she was an amazing wife, mother and grandmother. In her own way, she was a witty lady with a contagious little laugh and cute smile. Special thank you to the wonderful staff at Shalom Village for their compassionate care, we cannot thank you enough. Passed away on Sunday, October 27 at the Haldimand War Memorial Hospital in Dunnville in his 68th year. Predeceased by his parents Henry and Alma Eagle. Beloved husband of Rosemary (nee Neal), and loving brother to Dave (Debbie) and Don (Shirley), and brother-in-law to Brenda Stewart (Gil), Nancy Benoit and Christine Swioklo (Kurt). Sadly missed by his numerous nieces and nephews. John was an a Ham Radio enthusiast. Friends are invited to a Celebration of John’s Life on Sunday, November 3, 2019 at 2 o’clock at the Turner Family Funeral Home, 53 Main Street, Dundas, followed by a reception next door at the Cattel Centre. Donation to McMaster Children’s Hospital would be appreciated by the family.

Peacefully at St. Joseph’s Villa on Monday, October 21, 2019, at the age of 90. Predeceased by her husband, Ronald (2010). Loving mother to Marion Bailey (Bob) of Brantford, Jennifer Settle of Hamilton, Alan (Lenore) of Dundas and Beth Kelly (Bob) of Bracebridge. Betty will also be missed by her grandchildren, great grandchildren, her nieces and nephews as well as good friends. A special thanks to staff at St. Joseph’s Villa who loved her and cared for her daily physical needs. Cremation has taken place. Visitation Sunday, November 10, 2019 at 1 o’clock followed by a Memorial Service at 2 at the Turner Family Funeral Home, 53 Main Street, Dundas. On Betty’s request, expressions of sympathy to Ronald McDonald House would be appreciated.

Passed away peacefully at Juravinski Hospital on October 18, 2019 in her 95th year. Beloved wife of the late John (Jack) Nunn. Loving mother to Myrna (Andrew) Dyment, Mavis (Tom) Currie, and Brad (Veronica) Nunn. Caring grandmother to Adam, Beth, Hannah, Ian, Cody (Liane) and great-grandmother to Emily Marie Nunn. Sister to Elwood Hibbard and Lawrence Hibbard. Predeceased by her infant son, David, her grandson Michael Dyment, brother Gerald Hibbard, and sister-in-law Audrey Warner (William). Thelma was a member at Knox Presbyterian Church in Dundas and a former elder and choir member at McNab St. Presbyterian Church in Hamilton. Friends and family are invited to Turner Family Funeral Home, 53 Main St, Dundas, on Friday, October 25, from 7-9 p.m.. A Memorial Service will take place at the funeral home on Saturday, October 26, at 1:00p.m.. Ed West passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 13, 2019 in his 87th year. Ed was born in Woodstock on November 25, 1932, where he grew up with his four brothers, Jim, Sherman (predeceased), William (predeceased) and Bernard (predeceased). He is survived by his sister-in-law Carol and several nieces and nephews. After graduating from St. Jerome’s College in Kitchener, Ed attended St. Peter’s Seminary in London, Ontario after which he taught school for several years on St. Vincent Island in the Caribbean. On his return to Canada, Ed had a very successful career as a Supervisor for over 25 years with the Canadian National Railway. On his retirement Ed went on to serve his church, St. Augustine’s, in many ways including instructing and scheduling the altar servers for 20 years. For over 50 years Mr. West served his church and community in his adopted Town of Dundas, Ontario. He was on the executive and participated on many community organizations including the Dundas Public Library, St. Augustine’s Basketball League, Dundas Little League Baseball, Dundas Minor Baseball League, Dundas Minor Hockey Association and the Dundas Blues Jr. C Hockey Team. He was also a friend to those who needed a friend and a strong supporter of anyone he knew that was in distress or need. As a result of his contributions to the community, Mr. West was voted Dundas Citizen of the Year in 1982. Ed enjoyed studying Latin and Irish Gaelic, music, The CBC and travelling both here in Ontario and abroad to Rome, Italy and Dublin, Ireland. Visitation to celebrate Mr. West’s life will be held at the Turner Family Funeral Home, 53 Main Street, Dundas on Wednesday, October 16, from 6-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at ST. AUGUSTINE’S CHURCH, 58 Sydenham Street, Dundas on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. Cremation to follow. A special thanks to George, George and Art and to the Nurses and Staff on Oak Grove at St. Joseph’s Villa.
