White, Elizabeth Caroline “Betty – Passed away peacefully at the Hamilton General Hospital on Thursday, January 22, 2015, in her 98th year. Predeceased by her beloved father and mother, her two brothers Harold and Arthur and her sisters Helen and Edie. Survived by nieces and nephews. Betty was Past President and Honorary Life member of both the Hamilton S.P.C.A and the Hamilton Kennel Club. She received the Queen Elizabeth Golden Jubilee medal for her volunteer work for her beloved animals and the Order of Niagara for her work for Christ Church, Flamborough. Betty was a founding member of the Senior Woodchippers of Dundas and a well-known carver in wood and soapstone. She was blessed with wonderful friends and neighbours. A Funeral for Betty will be held at Christ Church Flamborough, 92 Highway 8, Greensville on Monday morning at 11 o’clock, reception to follow. Interment Woodland Cemetery. As Expressions of sympathy, donations to the Hamilton S.P.C.A. or Christ Church Flamborough, would be sincerely appreciated.

Hoe, Irene Dorothy (nee Wilson)

Hoe, Irene Dorothy (nee Wilson) – It is with sadness that the family of Irene Hoe announce her death on January 17, 2015. Predeceased by her parents, Robert and Kitty Wilson and her sisters, Kay, Violet and Frances. Left to mourn are her sisters, Audrey Lightfoot and Patricia Taylor and her many nieces and nephew. Irene is retired from McMaster Hospital. Cremation has taken place. A family service will be held at a later date.

Suddenly at the St. Joseph’s Hospital on Monday January 12, 2015 in her 92nd year. Cherished wife of Peter for 67 years. She is predeceased by her sister Rosette and will be sadly missed by many cousins in Belgium and her special friend Millie. Friends will be received by the family on Thursday from 9:30 am until the Funeral Service for Jeannine at 10:30 am at the Cattel, Eaton & Chambers Funeral Home, 53 Main Street, Dundas. Interment to follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Hamilton/Burlington S.P.C.A. or the Hamilton Alzheimer’s Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

Predeceased by his loving wife Catherine in December, Joe is survived by his cherished daughters Joanne (Joseph) and Susan. Fondly remembered by his grandchildren Catherine, Michael, Brad, and Alana and great-grandchildren Aiden, Talan and Faolan as well as step-grandchildren Joey, Robyn (Mike), Saige, Alex, Emily, Anthony, Evan and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sisters Adele, Dolores and Agnes. Friends will be received by the family on Thursday evening from 6-8 at the Cattel, Eaton & Chambers Funeral Home, 53 Main Street, Dundas, where the Service for Joe will be held Friday afternoon at 1 o’clock. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Emmanuel House or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.

Nesbitt, Clare Louise (nee Grightmire) – Peacefully at home after a brief illness on Monday, January 12, 2015, in her 83rd year. Predeceased by her beloved husband Robert “Nezzie” in 2009. Loving mother to Robert (Petronella), Barry (Daniela) and Cathy. Loving grandmother of Jesse, Robin, Elizabeth, Christopher, Kira and Andrew and great grandmother to Lucas and Mila. Clare Louise loved her garden, loved to travel, a glass of wine and Matty. Friends will be received by the family on Friday afternoon and evening from 3-5 & 7-9 at the Cattel, Eaton & Chambers Funeral Home, 53 Main Street Dundas. Funeral Mass Saturday morning at 10:30 a.m. at ST. JOSEPH’S VILLA CHAPEL, 56 Governor’s Road, Dundas. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Salvation Army would be appreciated.
