January 29, 1946 – May 8, 2019

Wojtasik, Peggy Anne (nee Guenther) – It is with profound sadness that Peggy’s family announces her passing on May 8, 2019 at West Haldimand General Hospital in her 74th year. She will be forever loved and remembered by her husband of 41 years, Stan; her beloved son Carey (Danielle); the light of her life, her precious granddaughter Hannah; brothers and sisters Rae (Vera) Guenther, Pat (John Martel), Terry (Margie) Guenther, Sheila (Rick Binkley) and Nancy Robertson; brothers-in-law Walter and Jerry (Dianne) Wojtasik and sisters-in-law Stella (Bob Ziegler) and Janet (Weldon Reeves) and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Margaret and Alfred Guenther, sister-in-law Mary Guenther, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Audrey and Floyd Gillam. Many thanks to the nursing staff at the West Haldimand Hospital for their care and compassion. Donations in Peggy’s memory can be made to the Children’s Wish Foundation. In keeping with Peggy’s wishes, cremation has taken place and family will attend a private interment at Graveside. A celebration of Peggy’s life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #36, Dundas, 280 King Street West, on Tuesday, May 21st at 1:00 p.m..

Tweedie, Emily Martha “Frances” (nee Todd)

November 9, 1930 – May 1, 2019

Peacefully at St. Joseph’s Villa on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 in her 89th year. Beloved wife of Walter for over 62 years. Loving sister to Jack (2016), Harry (2018), Vera, and Margaret (2017). Predeceased by her son Gary (2004). She will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Many thanks to all of the caregivers at St. Joseph’s Villa that supported Frances and the family on this journey. Friends and family are invited to Turner Family Funeral Home, 53 Main Street, Dundas, on Monday, May 6 from 3-4 p.m. with a Memorial Service immediately following at 4:00 p.m.. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Geneva Centre for Autism Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

March 23, 1947 – April 23, 2019

Judd, Norman David – It is with great sadness that the light and love of my heart passed away on April 23, 2019. Norm will be lovingly and forever missed and remembered by his wife Wendy, his daughters Danielle (Mark) and Patricia (Robert), granddaughter Bethany, grandson Edward. Norm will be missed by his loving family, Roger (Barbara), Ruth (John), Guy (Stella), Robert (Judy). Predeceased by his parents Albert and Annonciade, brothers Raymond and Nick. Norm will be missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family, golfing and coffee buddies. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2019, from 2-4 p.m., at Knollwood Golf and Country Club, 1276 Shaver Road, Ancaster, The Old Course. Rosette, Teresa Helen (nee Morra)

November 7, 1929 – April 28, 2019.   It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Teresa Rosette (Morra) at St. Joseph’s Villa in Dundas on Sunday, April 28, 2019.  Teresa was predeceased by her loving husband of 63 years, Gerry Rosette.

Teresa leaves behind her daughter LouAnne (Greg) Disher, her grandchildren Kelsey, Nicholas (Katlyn), Samantha (Josh) and great-grandson Dean Hoeppner.

Teresa was born in Toronto, Ontario the daughter of the late John and Lena Morra.  Dear sister of Anna Granger, Don (Rachel), Paul (Shirley), Flo Duz (Al) and the late Rocco, Dena, Mary, Nancy, Dolly, Anthony, Betty and Josephine.  Teresa will be remembered by her many nieces and nephews.

Teresa spent most of her youth in Bracebridge, where she had very special memories and spoke fondly of those times.  Teresa trained at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Toronto and began her nursing career in Welland where she met Gerry.  Gerry’s career took them to various cities across Canada.  In 1984 they moved to Chippawa which was a life time dream of theirs to live along the Niagara river.

Teresa’s family will miss her dearly, she will forever be in our hearts.

The family would like to thank the staff of the Maple Grove Unit at St. Joseph’s Villa for the outstanding care and compassion they have shown mom and our family over the past few months.

Cremation has taken place, a celebration of life will be held at a later date, followed by the interment in Bracebridge, Ontario.  Memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph’s Villa Foundation.

Holroyd, James “Jim”

February 20, 1931 – April 23, 2019

Holroyd, James “Jim” – passed on April 23rd, 2019 at the age of 88. Jim was born February 20, 1931 in Oldham, Lancashire, England to William and Hannah Holroyd, and immigrated to Canada in 1978. He was a self-employed painter and decorator. Jim always had a story to tell, a joke to be shared, and a cheek of a grin. Jim was the beloved husband to his late wife Barbara, and brother to late sibling Peter Holroyd. Jim is survived by his sister Rita Barnes, and his brother Denis Holroyd (Sheila). Loving father to Peter (Annette), Janet (Steven), Gillian (Chris). Proud grandfather to Paula, Cheryl, Matthew, Sherilyn, Cole, Chelsea, and Luke. Jim was a “chuffed” great-grandfather to Archie and Leila. Family and friends are invited to attend visitation between 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, April 30th, 2019 at the Turner Family Funeral Home, 53 Main Street, Dundas, followed shortly after by a gathering at a nearby Pub. Jim had a great passion for reading, so in lieu of flowers, donations to the Hamilton Public Library would be appreciated. Help Jim give the gift of reading to others.
