Arner, Norma Aileen (nee Cathers)

November 2, 1926 – September 9, 2018

Passed away peacefully in her sleep, in Dundas, on September 9, 2018 in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of Ronald McKenzie Arner of Dundas; mother of Patricia Lynn (Patti) and her husband Alex of Burlington, and Paul Arner and his wife Angie of Dundas; grandmother to McKenzie and Maddison Arner, and Liam and Nolan Passmore; sister of June Horachek and the late Tom Horachek of Stoney Creek; sister-in-law of the late Arthur and Ann Arner of Kingsville. She will be dearly missed by many nieces and nephews and other members of her family. Thank you to the Nurses and PSWs at St. Joseph’s Villa for their kindness and care for the past year; and a special thank you to Cathy and Princess! A private family burial to take place. Donations can be made, in memory, to the Canadian Diabetes Association.

Dennett, Diane Jean (nee Wallace)

June 27, 1951 – September 7, 2018

Dennett, Diane Jean (nee Wallace) – Passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Hamilton on Friday, September 7, 2018.  Predeceased by husband Jake.  Diane will be deeply loved and missed by her brother David and wife Joan; nieces Lisa and Kristen and great-niece Ava Victoria.  Her dog Corki misses her dearly.  Friends will be received by the family on Tuesday afternoon from 12:00 until the time of Diane’s Service at 1:00 at the Turner Family Funeral Home, 53 Main Street, Dundas.  Cremation will follow.  If you so wish, donations to the Ancaster Humane Society would be appreciated by the family.

Plante, Paul Eugene

July 13, 1935 – August 31, 2018

Plante, Paul Eugene – After a short illness, Paul passed away on August 31, 2018 at St. Peter’s Hospital at age 83. Husband of Sheila (deceased 2001) and loved father of Michele Fitzner (David), Linda Lanteigne (Jean-Paul) and Marcel Plante. Grandpa of Angie, Richard, Michael, Jean-Marc and Wade. Great grandfather of 7. Paul was a longtime member of RCL Br. #36, Dundas. As per Paul’s wishes, no visitaion or service, cremation has taken place, with interment next to Sheila at Grove Cemetery.

Walsh, Stuart John

September 16, 1934 – August 29, 2018

WALSH, Stuart John – Died August 29, 2018 peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving wife Vivian and daughters, Beth (Victor), Christine, and Lynn (Dave).  In death, he joins his beloved son Dannie (died 1978).  He is the cherished grandfather of Michael (Amy), David (Amanda), Erinn (Andrew), Shaun (Diana), Dannie, Scott and Sarah (Matt), great grandfather of Mark , Leo and Giuliana and uncle to Penny (Doug), father to his chosen  daughter Nicole and best friend to Donnie.  Stuart was born in Saint John, New Brunswick on September 16, 1934, one of 10 children, he is survived by his brother Ronald (Renee).  He was an avid sportsman; hockey was his passion. In fact, he continued to play hockey until he was 60.  He was a lifelong railway man beginning as trainman at the CPR in Saint John until he retired from Dofasco in 1999.  Stuart was a longstanding member of St. Joseph’s Church where he served as an usher.  He will be greatly missed by the many members of his extended family, his friends, neighbours and his church community.  Visitation from 9-11:00 a.m.  followed by Service at 11:00, Saturday, September 1, at ST. JOSEPH’S CHURCH, 260 Herkimer St. Hamilton, ON.  In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Joseph’s Church or Parkinson Canada.

November  25, 1968 – August 29, 2018

Gallaher, Tamara Alice “Tammi” – Peacefully at St. Peter’s Hospital on Wednesday, August 29, 2018, in her 50th year. Beloved wife of Brian and loving mother to Jason. Sadly missed by her father Steve Gerlofs, her in-laws Don and Betty Gallaher,  and predeceased by her mother Pat and stepmom Gail. Also sadly missed by her sister Janet Hannis (Dalton) and brother Dirk (Leslie), brother-in-law Kevin, her Robinson step-siblings; Paul (Carol), Eric (Carolyn), Gary (Mary) and Marnie (Trevor).Tammi will also be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received by the family on Friday morning from 10:30 until the Service at 12 noon at the Turner Family Funeral Home, 53 Main Street, Dundas. Interment Grove Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy to the Juravinski Cancer Centre or St. Peter’s Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
