sorry for your loss
I new Gord for a short time & he was always pleasant to me
I didn’t really get to know Gordon as an adult but I remember clearly how kind he was at the time of my father’s death when I was 17. At our home after the funeral Gordon spoke very kindly about my father and about his work as a printer. I have another fond memory of Gordon from an earlier time when I was 13 or 14. During a family visit Gordon started talking about working people and the importance of unions, about which I knew nothing or very little. What I’ll never forget is the conviction and passion in Gordon’s voice as he explained the meaning of a union to me and how interested he seemed in the cause. I believe that some of Gordon’s passion for social justice has stayed with me to this day and I thank him for modelling that for me.
