Loving Memory of Julia & Grace Smith
With heavy hearts, we announce the tragic loss of Julia Smith, aged 30, and her daughter, Grace Smith, aged 10. Grace passed away on July 6, 2025, followed by Julia on July 14, 2025. Their untimely departure leaves a profound void in the lives of all who knew and loved them.
Grace was a radiant young girl, full of imagination, laughter, and a kindness beyond her years. She brought light to every room she entered and will forever be remembered for her sweet spirit and infectious smile.
Julia was a devoted mother, daughter, and friend. She lived with a heart full of love and a passion for making the world a better place. Her courage, warmth, and deep devotion to Grace were the foundation of the beautiful bond they shared.
Both Julia and Grace will be dearly missed by their family, friends, and everyone whose life they touched. Their memories will live on in the hearts of all who knew them, and their love will continue to inspire.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Cremation has already taken place.
In honor of Julia and Grace, donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
Julia and Grace, my heart is shattered for you. This is an unbearable loss, a cruel twist of fate that has stolen two of the most beautiful lights from our lives. It’s devastating to think of all the memories you won’t get to make, all the milestones you won’t get to celebrate. The world is a darker place without your smiles, your laughter, and your love.
We will carry your love with me always. Your memories will be a reminder to cherish every moment, to hold our loved ones close, and to never take a single day for granted. Rest in peace, my sweet girls. You are loved more than words can say.

I am so sorry to hear about this heartbreaking loss. The word ‘loss’ can’t even describe it. It is hard to believe and to understand. I had the honour of teaching all the Smith girls back in their elementary school days-Julia’s smile is in my mind like it was yesterday. In those days, she told me she dreamed of being a model. She could make anyone laugh and absolutely did not tolerate any nonsense when her classmates acted up. I even got to meet little Grace when Julia came back to visit school with her beautiful daughter, whose smile was just as wonderful as her mom’s. Just wanted to say to Julia’s parents and Gabrielle and Tara and family that Julia and Grace are going to be with you always, their beautiful smiles in your minds and their spirits in your hearts forever. Sending love and prayers.
I think about you and Grace daily. Life got busy and I wish we spoke more through those times but I’m forever grateful for all the times we shared and laughs we had. I hope you know how much you truly were loved by so many people 💗 we all miss you.

I met grace when she was in grade three and I was in six. and every since then we grew closer and closer grace hung out with me every lunch break and even though she may have never known it she was one of the only things I looked forward to during the hardest point in my life. Grace had so many dreams and she had such a bright future. Every day she would tell me the update on how she had been saving for a pet axolotl, or the crazy stories about kids in her class and she was always so bright and energetic. Rest in peace Julia and Grace🫶🏻
We knew Julia’s parents who used to be at the Fin & Feather Marina where we both had trailers. Scott and Joanne and families we cannot imagine the grief you are experiencing with such a tragic loss. Our sincere condolences go out to all of you. Rest in peace Julia and Grace.
