Laura Eveline Williams passed away peacefully at Wentworth Lodge on Sunday, March 17, 2024, in her 96th year. Predeceased by her husband David (2000). Loving mother to Don (Mary) and Lois. Caring grandmother to Greg (Caroline), Christine (Brad), Kyle (Katie), Cameron (Melanie) and she will be sadly missed by many great grandchildren.
Friends and family are invited to Turner Family Funeral Home, 53 Main St., Dundas on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, from 4:00 P.M. – 6:00 P.M. for visitation. A funeral service will be held at Christ Church in Greensville on Thursday, March 21, 2024, at 1:00 P.M.

I will remember Aunt Laura for her generosity of time and spirit. My brother David, my sister Lorraine and I lived in Toronto and every few months would call and ask to drop by. We would arrive after 1, Dave and Laura would have lunch, then go to a Conservation Authority area or something they were interested in, have dinner and stay too late.
Years later I would call and say I was in the area and Laura would say yes drop in. Perhaps we would go to the Hamilton Harbour or the Hamilton Art Gallery, but the door was welcoming.
I remember Dave and Laura well from Christ Church. Laura had Brenda Volkov and I for lunch one day at her home on Old Governor’s Rd. The best hostess, a day remembered.
We have many lovely memories of Laura. She will be missed by her family and many friends for her friendly smile, and her delightful chatter.

I will always remember my dear neighbor Laura! She was more than that, she was a Grandma to me when I was growing up. She was so kind and welcoming. Rest in peace and give Dave a big hug.
I have so many memories of Auntie Laura that I will cherish forever! I will never forget a weekend Dianne and I got to stay with her and Uncle Dave-we picked a tomato from the garden and sat with a salt shaker and ate it at the back porch…that was the best tomato I have ever eaten in my life! There are several fond memories💞💞
Aunt Laura was such a lovely lady. I have wonderful memories of the family picnics that her and Uncle Dave would have every June. My children remember as well. Dave and her will be together again.

I was honoured to spend time with Laura within her Wentworth home. She had such a brightness and positive mindset bestowing encouragement and laughter upon every conversation. Some of my most beloved memories in the past months includes her. Reading together and putting our brains together for a good wordle was worth every minute. My prayer for the family, especially Don and Mary that you would experience peace and comfort knowing how much she loved you deeply. May your memories be sweet like honey.

I will miss the wonderful chats with Auntie Laura in person and on the phone about life. I will miss Auntie Laura’s knowledge re geneology about keeping informed with family members and relatives. I will miss the family get togethers with so much laughter , stories and food held at the acreage. Laura was kind and generous and had a beautiful spirit. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.
I have had many fond memories of Aunt Laura and Uncle Dave ever since I was 8 years old. The Family picnics at their home in Dundas were always great events. Over the past several years I have been privileged by receiving a phone call, before Christmas, from Aunt Laura. We had great discussions about our Families.
She was a wonderful Lady and will be missed.
Our sincere condolences to the family from all of us at Westfield Heritage Village who remember Laura so fondly. Laura and Dave were much appreciated volunteers who worked hard and who were so valuable to the success of the museum. Laura brought the WHV staff candied lemon and orange peels just before every Christmas even years after she retired from volunteering with us. Laura’s lovely big smile and kind heart will be remembered forever.
