Southall, Wilma Manning (nee Dixon) – Surrounded with the love of her family, Wilma Southall, beloved wife of the late John M. (Jack) Southall, passed away at Wentworth Lodge on Saturday, November 23, 2013, in her 90th year. Loving mother of John (Jack, Jr.); Ellen; Janet; Marnie & David Strauch; Cathy & John Woodley. Proud Nana of Jay Southall; Lee (Tony) Rumleskie; Sherri (Anthony) Cassano; Jessica & Anna Southall-Millward; Jennifer Evans; Jeffrey (Jennifer) Strauch; Amy Beth (Paul) Ksiazek; Jacqueline (Julien Patenaude), Rebecca & Andrew Woodley. Great Nana to Zoe & Jackson Rumleskie; Sophie & Lily Cassano; James & Emily Ksiazek & Henri Patenaude. A Graduate of McMaster & of Wilfred Laurier Universities, with a Masters of Social Work, Wilma completed her career as Director of Social Work at St. Joseph’s Villa, Dundas. A life long resident of Dundas, Wilma was an active member of St. James’ Anglican Church; a Dundas Town Councillor 1988-1997; Past Chair of the Dundas Museum Board and a member of the Dundas Travel Club. If desired, donations may be made to the St. James’ Anglican Church Memorial Fund or to St. Matthew’s House. Visitation will take place at Cattel, Eaton & Chambers Funeral Home, 53 Main St., Dundas on Tuesday, November 26th from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The Funeral service will take place Wednesday, November 27th, 2013 at 1 p.m. at ST. JAMES’ ANGLICAN CHURCH, 137 Melville St., Dundas.

My best wishes to the entire Southall family. Wilma who I did not know well, was in ,my experience a truly caring person. I remember fondly her husband Tack who was good to my family and my mother in particular in a time of need. While we didn’t always agree, I know that they did a lot of good in our community.
