Of Dundas, born November 18th, 1927 peacefully passed on the 1st of November 2022. Its with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Predeceased by her husband of over 50 years, Fredrick Johnston, sister Helene Burnie, brothers Joel Hartwell and Ken Hartwell. Survived by her sister Phyllis Murphy; children Jim Johnston (Dale), Kenneth Johnston (Cheryl), Terry Johnston (Kathy); grandchildren Asha, Travis (Monika), Chad, Nicole (Justin), Melissa (Justin), Cody, Rebecca (Brian), Rachael (Sloan); and great-grandchildren Patrick, Ella, Alitheia, Lincoln, Laikyn, Lacey and Gibson. A resident of Dundas her entire life, Marjorie was a member of the Dundas Baptist Church and participated in water aerobics at St. Joseph’s Villa for many years. Marjorie was a long-time supporter of the Salvation Army and Mission Services, always taking the time to think about the less fortunate especially around the holidays. Marjorie will always be remembered as being a devoted sports fan, always cheering on the hometown teams, Hamilton Tiger-Cats, the Maple Leafs, the Blue Jays and Team Canada. The time, love and devotion she showered her family with was especially apparent with her great-grandchildren; they were truly so very special to her. May you rest in peace – you will be dearly missed.
Marj. was a great neighbour , an interesting conversationalist and a terrific woman. Our condolences to her family.
