November 23, 1924 – June 9, 2022.
Passed away peacefully at Amica in Dundas, her home for the past eight years. She was predeceased by her husband Jim (2002) and will be greatly missed by her daughter Elizabeth (Liz) (Marsha). She is survived by her sister Grace Stutt and was predeceased by brothers Jim Hall, Lorne Hall and sisters Mary Warren and Marg Eaton. She is survived by many nieces and nephews and she always took great interest in their lives, ideas and careers. She and Jim travelled to many places around the world, but she was always most comfortable at home or at their cottage in Muskoka where their door was always open to family and friends. Following her retirement from the Hamilton Region Conservation Authority she volunteered for the Cancer Society, Red Cross and Meals on Wheels. She was an Honorary Life Director of the Rockton Agricultural Society and a long-time member of Rockton United Church. Special thanks to Dr. Lenore Zou and the caring staff at Amica.
As per Erna’s wishes there will be a private graveside service at Mount Zion Cemetery, Copetown followed by a family gathering. If desired donations may be made to The Salvation Army – Dundas or Rockton United Church.

Mike and I want to send our condolences on the death of your Mother. She was a real lady and had a long life. Know that you are in our thoughts at this sad time. Anne and Mike Jones-Abel
Our condolences to you Liz and Marsha. Erna was such a wonderful neighbour and our children grew up being able to have her and your Dad as Honourary Grandparents. They all enjoyed the time spent with them in the garden, in the orchard and just chatting at the fence!
We are thinking about you at this sad time.
