1938 – 2021

With profound sadness we announce the passing of our beloved Manuel on November 17, 2021 with his loving family by his side. Manuel died of a broken heart 6 days after the passing of his cherished wife Idalina. He will be missed by his children Fern (Lynn), Isabel (John) and Nelson (Jana). Loving Avo of Bailey and Erin. He leaves behind his sister and brother Maria and Madail, and was certainly met at the heavenly gates not only by his wife but also by his brother Joao. A special thank you to all Manuel’s family and friends who have supported him after having a debilitating stroke 11 years ago and thank you to the staff at St. Joseph’s Villa, Lilac floor for giving Manuel a second home and caring for him like you would a father and a friend. Visitation to take place at Turner Family Funeral Home, 53 Main Street, Dundas on Sunday, November 21 from 1-3 p.m. Proof of double vaccination will be required at the funeral home. Mass to take place at Canadian Martyrs Church Wednesday, November 24 at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at St Augustines Catholic Cemetery. For those who wish to make a donation on Manuel’s behalf can do so to Canadian Martyrs Church or St. Joseph’s Villa.
