It is with profound sadness that the family of Teresa Lee announces her passing on October 10, 2020, at the age of 56, at Emmanuel House Hospice, Hamilton ON, following a brief illness. Beloved wife and best friend of Daniel Lee. Loving and devoted mother to Clare (David) Adamcik of Calgary AB. Daughter of the late Joseph and Kathleen Wasiak of Regina SK. Daughter-in-law to Ruth and the late David Lee of Dundas ON and sister-in-law to Sarah (Cameron Belsher), Stephen (Nancy Reinhart), and Deborah (Kevin Eldridge). Cherished youngest sister to Ed (Katherine) Wasiak, Christine Kessel, Colette (Wayne) Bischoff, and Marcia (Michael) Scott. Adoring aunt to many nieces and nephews, and their partners and children.
Following a successful career as a French Hornist, where Teresa performed with many diverse ensembles locally and across the globe, she expanded her artistic expression by studying interior decorating, and in 1998 opened her own decorating and design studio, Design Inspirations.
Intuitive, thoughtful and hard-working, Teresa was a lover of music, art, nature, skiing, travel, gardening, dogs, reading, and cooking, and she and Dan hosted many special times for friends and family at their homes in Calgary, Waterdown and St. Catharines. She could light up a room with her generous spirit and her radiant smile. She will be greatly missed by her design clients, musical colleagues, family and many friends.
Heartfelt thanks to the teams at Emmanuel House Hospice and Niagara General Hospital for their compassionate care of both Teresa and Dan, as well as the many outstanding home caregivers. The family is also grateful for the immense kindness and support of extended family, friends and neighbours. Cremation has taken place, with a Celebration of Life planned for a future date. If desired, donations in Teresa’s memory may be made to The Canadian Cancer Society or Emmanuel House (Good Shepherd Centres).
Teresa will be greatly missed by all who knew her. A beautiful and talented woman I am happy that we were friends and musicians together. I am very sad that she had to leave us all so early.

To her family and friends, so sorry for your loss.
Teresa was a loyal and true friend, a sensitive and talented musician, and a very beautiful woman, inside and out. It was an honour and a privilege to witness her grace and dignity, even as a teenager…
My heartfelt condolences to all the family and friends she leaves behind.
A very special person who left us far too soon – our condolences to all of her family – thinking of you all Celine & John
I asked for Teresa’s advice on what to do with my purple and yellow walls when we moved to our new home in Calgary in 2005 and for the next 8 months, she transformed our home, taught me everything I know about interior design, and we enjoyed more than a client – business owner relationship. She was truly inspired, talented, and kind. She is with us still and will be with you always, her cherished family.
Our sincere condolences to you Clare, and your whole family. I cherish the memories of Teresa, growing up in Regina, playing music and sharing our childhoods. Teresa was a kind and loving friend, a talented musician who was passionate about the arts and a lot of fun. Teresa will be dearly missed. Our prayers are with you.
Dear Ed, Christine, Colette, Marcia and families, deepest condolences on the loss of your sister.

We are so sorry for your loss. Teresa was a friend, part of our long-time friends from Dundas. When we first heard that Dan had met “the one” all those years ago we were so excited. It was a joy to meet her and call her our friend. We miss her. We hope that you find solace in your memories of Teresa and the stories that you tell. Thinking of you all.
