April 18, 1930 – December 21, 2018
Weiss, Charles Francis – Charlie passed away peacefully at Wentworth Lodge on Friday, December 21, 2018 in his 89th year. Beloved husband of Ferne for 67 years. Loving father of Paul (Lisbeth) and Steve (Brenda). Doting grandfather of 5 grandchildren Adam (Kirsten), Stephanie, Kimberly (Dan), Geoff (Jaclyn) and Rochelle (Kyle) and 9 great-grandchildren Declan, Kali, Charlotte, Abigail, Ben, Emmy, Elliot, Jonah and Lucy. Valued friend to anyone who knew him. Predeceased by siblings Eldon, Raymond and Beverly. He always had a smile on his face and never complained. Charlie loved golf and was a member of the Hole-in-One club. He was a runner and health fanatic long before it was fashionable. He enjoyed 33 years of retirement after working at Mohawk College as the Director of Administration Services. Special thanks to Dr. Anna Emili and the staff at Wentworth Lodge for their exemplary care and compassion. Friends will be received by the family on Saturday morning, December 29th, from 10:30 a.m. until the time of Charlie’s service at 11:30 a.m. at the Turner Family Funeral Home, 53 Main Street, Dundas. Cremation has already taken place and a private interment will be scheduled for a later date. Donations to the Alzheimer Society or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
My sincere condolences to Steve and Brenda, Paul and Lisbeth, Adam and Kirsten, Declan and Kali, as well as the rest of the family whom I have not met. I only met Charles a few times, but I remember his sense of humour. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
