February 3, 1936 – April 16, 2014
MacLean, Kenneth “Lloyd” – Suddenly at his home on Wednesday, April 16, 2014, in his 79th year. Beloved husband of the late Eleanor (2005). Lloyd will be sadly missed by his sons Darrell (Kate) and Glenn (Megan), his grandchildren Kirsten, Ben and Sam, Eleanor’s brothers Martin (Heather) and Norman (Tina), sister Gwen (Andy), and sister-in-law Joan (Lloyd LaRose). Also sadly missed by his good friend Steve Panciuk. Lloyd was a member and Past Master of Dufferin Lodge #291 AF & AM and was a long time member of Christ Church, Greensville. A former PGA card holder, Lloyd retired from Stelco after 36 years and landed his dream career working at Dundas Valley Golf and Curling Club. Lloyd was always willing to help – no request was too small nor inconvenient and his generosity will be forever remembered. Friends will be received by the family on Wednesday afternoon and evening from 2-4 & 7-9 with a Masonic Lodge Service taking place at 9 p.m. at the Cattel, Eaton & Chambers Funeral Home, 53 Main Street, Dundas. Funeral Service Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock at CHRIST CHURCH, 92 Highway 8, Greensville. Cremation has taken place. Expressions of sympathy to St. Matthew’s House would be appreciated by the family.
Darrell, Glenn, Kate, Megan, Sam, Ben and Kate,
Our heartfelt sympathy in your time of sorrow. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all in these sad days. Please know that we are here for you should you need us for anything at all. Lloyd was a very special and kind man. And I will always remember with fondness from my days DVGC. He was always so very proud of “his boys”.
