June 25, 1929 – March 29, 2014
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Barbara Watson on Saturday, March 29th 2014.
Predeceased by her husband Douglas. Cherished mother of David (Chantal), Judy, Ian (Grace), Diane (Lorne
McArthur). Loving grandmother of Ben, Tom, Charlotte, James and Alexander Watson and William, Ian and Graeme McArthur and her beloved dog Murphy. A private service and interment will take place.
Donations to the Hamilton S.P.C.A or the Hamilton RBG would be appreciated by the family.
Deepest sympathy to all of the family
Barbara will truly be missed by all who knew her at RBG and for all her help at the Information Desk!
Dear David, Judy, Ian, Diane (and families) & Murphy,
I was so sorry to hear about your Mom. She was a grand lady and will be sorely missed (as will her beautiful roses and gardens).
My thoughts are with you all.
Love, Sue/Susie
We are so sorry about your Mom. She was such a beautiful lady and always made everyone feel special. Her behind the scenes intervention made it possible for us to welcome “Bear” into our home. Bear was a three year old Husky/Chow cross who was abandoned and ended up at the Hamilton SPCA. We will always think of your Mom with love and a smile. May your hearts be filled with loving memories of a truly remarkable woman.
We’ll miss Barbara so much at the Dundas Travel Club. It has been a real pleasure to know her over the years. Her lemon squares were the best!!
We will certainly miss Barbara at RBG. We shared Fridays on the Information Desk at RBG when I first joined the Auxiliary fifteen years ago. She was a great mentor for me with a lovely subtle sense of humour. I`ve enjoyed meeting her at many times since.
With sympathy in your loss,
Patricia Barton
We were saddened to learn of Barbara’s passing and express our sincere condolences to members of the family and in particular to Diane and Lorne. Our daughter Pauline (now in England) was a particular friend of Diane’s following our arrival in Canada in August 1969.
Our deepest condolences on the loss of a beloved mother and grandmother. We know she is missed.
