Sheila Mary Blonski (née Lord), born September 20, 1929, in Nottingham, England, passed away peacefully at St. Peter’s Hospital, Hamilton, Ontario on July 19, 2026.
Sheila emigrated to Canada in 1952 with her husband, Stanley, and their son Richard. She lived most of her life in Ancaster and Copetown residing at Highgate Residences (Ancaster) for the past 7 years. Sheila was quiet, artistic, and well read, she enjoyed bridge, European cooking in her younger years, and a lifelong love of books.
Sheila graduated from McMaster University in 1965 and was an active member of Big Sisters (Frost Group) into her early 80s.
She was predeceased by her husband, Stanley, and her parents, John Henry and Florence Lord. She is survived by her sons Richard (Katherine), Michael (Linda), and David (Brenda); Grandchildren Alex (Kelly), Jackie (Vytas), Kristofer (Tiffany), Derek (Natalie), Adrienne (Quin), Daniel (Allyson), and Mark, as well as ten great‑grandchildren.
Sheila will be remembered with affection by her family and all who knew her. Cremation has taken place. There will be no services at this time.
