Patricia Aileen Almas of Dundas, Ontario died peacefully of old age at Margaret’s Place Hospice in Dundas, Ontario on Sept. 5, 2024 in her ninety-sixth year. In the weeks leading to her passing she was surrounded by her family. Beloved wife of Bob (dec.), sister to Bill Buchamer (dec)., mother of Robert (Nalini dec.), Michael, Jeffrey (dec.) and Kathryn. She will also be greatly missed by her five grandchildren: Asha and Michael Almas, Shaina Almas, Carly McElroy and Beyaz Almas.
Patricia loved everything to do with her children, home and garden. Although early on in life, she showed great promise in the business world, she gave it up to be a wife and mother. She supported her children through thick and thin drawing from a deep well of patience and love. She often recalled, with great fondness her childhood spent in Teulon, Manitoba.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Turner Family Funeral Home, 53 Main St., Dundas, Ontario with a Celebration of Life to follow at 12p.m.
The Almas household was just around the corner from the Stewart’s house on the Hamilton East mountain. My sister Robin and I remember the Almas family well. Bobby, Michael and I would play street hockey and I recall Bob Sr coming home in a new different car most nights as he worked at a car dealership. Mother Pat was always patient with us kids even when we started driving nails into wood found in their garage. Condolences to all the extended family and friends. RIP.

Auntie Pat was a wonderful and caring soul with all us kids. She always spoke her mind freely and loved us for being us. I will always miss her heartfelt family stories. One fond memory was when we were small always got together with the Almas’ at Xmas and watched Grampa’s funny home movies of the kids and grandkids in a sea of presents. Hilarious-
Much love and many hugs and kisses to you, Mike and Bob, and to your kids.
Sorry I couldn’t be there now. I’m still in Gdansk, as you remember, but my love is with you.

I remember my Auntie Pat as always the strong and sensible one. Pat always knew the right thing to do. Auntie Pat had a broad knowledge of many things, especially family history. She enlightened me on many stories with descriptions so detailed, I could imagine it happening! I will always treasure the comfort she gave me when my mother died. Auntie Pat had a great capacity for love and understanding. My sympathies to Kathy, Mike and Bob, and all her grandchildren, Pat was one great mom, grandmother, a great Aunt and a great lady!
