In loving memory of our Mom and Gramma. Lois passed away peacefully on December 15th in her 80th year. Predeceased by her beloved husband, Hans. Loving and devoted mother to Laura (Gabby), Lisa (Martin), and Leigh (Natasha). Gramma will be greatly missed by Kaylee, David, Landon, Nevaeh, JJ and Ryder. Lois was a graduate of the 1966 Hamilton Civic Hospitals nursing program and worked as an RN, retiring from McMaster maternity ward. She enjoyed gardening and singing and was always willing to help answer any medical questions that family or friends asked, especially if it was about babies. Lois was an active member of DBC and enjoyed being the onsite nurse for their Vacation Bible School. Heartfelt thank you and appreciation to the hospice staff at Margaret’s Place. Donations in Lois’ memory can be made on her behalf to Margaret’s Place or the Hamilton SPCA. Cremation and private interment. A Celebration of Life is planned for February 2024. Pleasant dreams, love you.
Lois was my truly wonderful, fun, friend- who was full of life and giggles! Her natural helping demeanor extended to all she met, both in answering questions but in her actions. We spent many a time shopping, going out for lunch, attending craft shows, theater and taking turns having suppers at each others homes. We enjoyed a European cruise together.
She taught me about flowers and how to nurture them and often gave me clippings to enhance my garden. We shared the love of golden retrievers….and she had a chocolate drawer in her fridge!!!
I know the angels have a keeper- SING loud and proud, my dear friend!
