Ridley, Isabelle Still (nee Rooney)

Passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Villa on Saturday, June 12, 2021 in her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late William Ridley. Loving sister of Frances, Josie (Carman) Crawford, Kathleen (Paul) Penney, Jimmy (Sue) and Maureen (Steve) Bendo. Survived by sisters-in-law Annie Rooney and Betty Rooney. Predeceased by sisters Patricia (Milt) Spendlove and Eileen (Bill) Clarkson as well as brothers John and Mickey. Isa is survived by several nieces and nephews. Friends and Family are invited to Turner Family Funeral Home, 53 Main St. Dundas on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 from 2-4 & 7-9p.m. All guests must register on the funeral home’s website or by calling as space is limited. A private funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 (To view the livestream, follow link below). Interment to take place at St. Augustine’s Cemetery. Reynolds, Nancy “Eileen”

Peacefully at Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice in Hamilton Ontario, on Sunday June 6th, in her 97th year.
Much loved wife of 63 years, to the late Orv Reynolds (2013). Predeceased by their infant daughter Rebecca Jane in 1958. Loving mother to Nancy (Mike) Brown of Simcoe and Paul (Julie) Reynolds of St. Catharines and their children Kyle and Christopher.
After retiring from a 30+ year teaching career in Dundas, Eileen attended McMaster University in Hamilton where she earned her Honors Degree in Art History. Over the years Eileen and Orv’s love of travel took them to over 15 countries, meeting many life long friends along the way. Eileen volunteered as a Docent at The Art Gallery in Hamilton and thru their travels saw many of the paintings she had studied at McMaster.
The family would like to express their thanks to Eileen’s amazing home caregivers, PSW’s Barbara, Lynsey and Sherry along with her evening caregivers Virginia and Kim. We are also thankful to the team of nurses that cared for Eileen at Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice (Evelyn, Joanne, Sharon and Whitney)
Due to COVID restrictions, a private family funeral will take place at Grove Cemetery in Dundas. In lieu of flowers, the family appreciates donations in Eileen’s name to the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice in Hamilton.

Spinney, Eldon Clarence

At the Hamilton General Hospital on Sunday, June 6, 2021, in his 88th year. Beloved husband to the late Shirley and loving father to; Mike (Lorie), Dolly Frid (Barry), the late John, Tim (Maryann), L.D. (Peggy), and Michele Spinney. Dear grandfather to Laura Lea; Jennifer; Nicholas; Stephanie; Jessica; Dylan; Mackenzie and Sara and great-grandfather to Keaton, Emerson, Aria, Dawson and step great-grandfather to Sophia and Alania. Thank you to the wonderful staff at Yorkville Retirement Home. You were Dad’s family when we couldn’t be there. A private interment will be held at Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to McMaster Children’s Hospital or the Heart and Stoke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

Livesey, Beryl

The family of Beryl May Livesey, of Dundas, announce with sadness her peaceful passing at Wentworth Lodge on May 27, 2021. Predeceased by her loving husband, Bill, she leaves behind her three daughters, Kim Sardella (Don), Cathy Hems (Steve), and Doreen Hall (Geoff), her six grandchildren and her four great grandchildren. Many thanks to the caring staff of Wentworth Lodge, who looked after our Mom so well. A private family service will be held at a later date.

Spinney, John (Norton)

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of John (Norton) Spinney on Monday, May 17, 2021 at home in Dundas. John was born on December 25, 1959 in Hamilton, Ontario. John is now an angel who has gained his wings and joins his mother, Shirley, in heaven. He will forever be missed and never be forgotten by his children Jessica (Adam) and Dylan (Virginia and Bean) and his beautiful grandaughter Aria Mae, whom he adored with all his heart. He is their guardian angel now and will always be with them. He is survived by his father Eldon Spinney, and several siblings, Dolly, Mike, Tim, Eldie, Michele, several nieces and a nephew. John was loved by all who knew him. His smile ,sense of humor and kindness touched many lives. He was happiest when spending time with his kids and granddaughter, riding his Harley and cheering on the Leafs and the Jays. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.

Trifone, Mafalda (nee Salvatore)

Passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Villa, Dundas, on Sunday, May 23, 2021 at the age of 95. Predeceased by her beloved husband, Remo. Dearly loved and missed by her children Francesca and Carmine (Delia), grandson Anthony, and nieces and nephews throughout Italy and in Lockport, NY.

Mafalda was born and raised in Castiglione a Casauria, Pescara, Abruzzo, Italy. She emigrated to her new home in Hamilton in 1959. Mafalda was very devoted to her family and to her Catholic faith, devoutly praying the rosary in Italian.

Special thank you to Dr. Boyd, nurses, and PSWs in Orchid Garden for their excellent care of Mafalda. And our profound gratitude to her beloved caregiver, Lindsey, whose love, kindness, and devotion greatly enhanced the last six years of Mafalda’s life.

Visitation will be on Sunday, May 30, from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. at the Turner Family Funeral Home, 53 Main Street, Dundas. As per Covid regulations, everyone must sign up for visitation on Mafalda’s obituary on the Funeral Home website. A private Mass will be held at St. Margaret Mary on Monday, May 31, at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Donations to St. Joseph’s Villa Foundation would be appreciated.
