Predeceased by her husband, Willem, Riek was a loving mother to Louise McFarlane (Sid), Clare (Claire), Peter (Arlene), Ron and Henry, and beloved Oma to 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
We wish to thank the staff at Wentworth Lodge and the Juravinski Hospital for their care and dedication. A graveside funeral service will be held at Grove Cemetery, in Dundas, at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 3rd, 2022, for family and friends.

On Tuesday, May 10th in his 96th year Ted conceded to Queen Elizabeth in the race for longevity and slept his last sleep. Born in Vassar, Hungary Ted fled to Canada in 1956 where he met Win, who, for the next 55 years was his wife, finder of many things, dance and travel partner, voice of reason and of course co-gardener.
Ted’s perseverance, sense of humor and imposing size were passed on to his children Ica (Ferenc), Mike (Jen) and Emma (Mike).
Ted was always proud of his grandchildren and showed his love for Tomas, Gabriella, Matthew, Liliana, Michael and Joshua in many unique ways.
Remembered for his somewhat truthful storytelling (on repeat at times), his unfailing work ethic, his willingness to help family and friends (whether wanted or not), sense of adventure and his love of gardening, he left a lasting impression on most people he encountered.
As per Ted’s wish, cremation has taken place and a ceremony and Celebration of his Life will be held on Saturday, June 4th at 1 p.m. at St. Paul’s United Church, 29 Park St. W. Dundas, Ontario where the event will be live streamed as well. In Lieu of flowers a charitable donation to the St. Paul’s Benevolent Fund or the Alzheimer Society of Canada would be greatly appreciated.

It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of Orest Kopachiwsky, in his 76th year, announce his passing on May 13, 2022. Orest was born on July 9th, 1946 in Ingolstadt, Bavaria to loving parents Paul and Oksana Kopachiwsky as they fled their beloved homeland Ukraine, for a better life in Canada. They settled and prospered in Hamilton where Orest welcomed a baby sister, Dana. He attended school in Hamilton, culminating at McMaster University with a BA in Psychology. He pursued a career in the photographic industry but the highlight of his adult life was marrying Bev, and together they raised two children, Rick and Alanna. Orest was thrilled to welcome Nic Drake, his son-in-law to the family fold and was over the moon to hold his first granddaughter, Laya in his arms. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle who was known for his big heart, friendly sociable nature, and his love for cycling.
