Anderson, George William – Owner/operator of GW Service in Hamilton died peacefully at Michael Garron Hospital in Toronto on Sunday, January 27, 2019 in his 85th year. Beloved husband of the late Gail Edna Campbell. Loving father to Kimberly, Melody (Kevin), and Hugh (Donna). Dear brother of Joyce, Stan and Olla (Jim). Predeceased by siblings Thelma, Mervyn, Gordon, and Wallace. Survived by sisters-in law Hughanne, Jacqueline, Alice and Eileen. Predeceased by brothers-in-law, Walter, Don, Milton, Bill and sister-in law Audrey. Dear “Gramps” to Cassandra (James) and Jordan (Jacqueline) and Great Grandpa to Alexis and Mackenzie. George will be remembered by a number of nieces and nephews and was a favorite to all the feline and canine clan in the family. Special thanks are extended to the direct care givers at Harmony Hills in Toronto for providing daily care to our beloved father. A Graveside Service will be held at Woodland Cemetery, 700 Spring Gardens Rd., Burlington ON, Friday, February 1 at 1:00 p.m. with guest reception to follow. November 10, 1934 – January 22, 2019
Lee, David Robert, Q.C. – David Lee died peacefully with his family by his side on January 22, 2019 after struggling with Parkinson’s Disease for over 15 years. Loving husband of Ruth for 60 years. Cherished father of Daniel (Teresa Wasiak-Lee); Sarah (Cameron Belsher); Stephen (partner Nancy Reinhart); and Deborah (Kevin Eldridge). Beloved grandfather of Kristen and Shane Belsher; Duncan, Adam and Robyn Eldridge; and Clare (David Adamcik). Loyal and valued friend. David practised law for 35 years in Dundas at Lee & Lee alongside his father D’Arcy. His clients appreciated his wise counsel. His colleagues considered him reliable and trustworthy. David was a multi-talented individual who was first and foremost a gifted pianist and composer. He also excelled at golf and his nearly 60 year membership at The Hamilton Golf and Country Club was very dear to his heart. He won many tournaments including winning the Club Championship 13 times over a period of five decades. As a Master Model Railroader, he spent his lifetime creating an elaborate model railroad in the basement of his home. In 2015 he and Ruth donated the entire layout to their alma mater, McMaster University. It is now located in the David Braley Health Sciences Centre, Hamilton for all to enjoy. Many thanks to the Dundas Model Railroad Club for their involvement in dismantling and relocating the layout to its new home. While pursuing his passions and in service as an active member of The Rotary Club of Dundas and a Master of Valley Lodge 100, David touched many lives and inspired many more. He was a fine gentleman who lived his life with integrity, a dry sense of humour, and a relentless desire for excellence. His love for his wife surpassed all other passions and was crucial to helping him cope with his debilitating illness. The family wishes to thank the staff of The Meadows Long Term Care Home for their care and concern. We are also deeply grateful to David’s private caregiver, Mariola, who faithfully and with great compassion helped David face his disease. We also wish to thank Dr. Misiaszek and Lisa for their guidance and wise medical advice. David had a strong Christian faith and was an active member of St. Mark’s United Church for 60 years. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received by the family on Friday, March 1 from 7-9 p.m. at St. Mark’s United Church (Governor’s Road) with David’s Memorial Service being held at the Church on Saturday, March 2 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of David may be made to the Bell Fund of St. Mark’s United Church (1 Lyndale Drive, Dundas, Ontario, L9H 3L4 ) or to Parkinson Canada.

Little, Charlotte Jane – Peacefully at Riverside Glen Nursing Home on Tuesday, January 22, 2019, in her 100th year. Beloved wife of the late Lyman (2002), and dear mother of Robert Little and the late Joan Clark. Sadly missed by her grandchildren; Angelisa, Kendra, Scott (Kaela), Geoff, Brad and Krysta, her many great grandchildren and her daughter-in-law Christina Capp. Also sadly missed by her brother-in-law Kenneth Little (Betty) and her nieces Helena and Sissy. Friends will be received by the family on Saturday morning from 10 until the Service for Charlotte at 11 o’clock at ST. JAMES’ ANGLICAN CHURCH, 137 Melville Street, Dundas. Interment at White Chapel Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy to St. James’ Anglican Church would be appreciated by the family.

Segato, Marguerite Alinne “Marg” (nee Arnold) – Passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Monday, January 21, 2019 at Joseph Brant Hospital. Predeceased by her husband John Sr. in 2012 after 48 years of marriage. Dearly loved and missed always by her son John Jr. (Debbie) and daughter Danielle (Garry Shaw); grandchildren Nicolette, Bradley, Monica and Owen and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Fred and Janet and siblings Fred (Adeline) Arnold, Lena (Vern Clarkson) and Audrey (George Smith). Marg will be missed by her many friends at La Salle Retirement Home where she enjoyed her euchre games, bingo and washers. Marg also loved to read and loved her dog Dusty. Special thanks to the palliative care team and nursing staff at Joseph Brant Hospital and to family physician, Dr. L. Coren for her exceptional care over the years. Friends and family will be received on Wednesday afternoon and evening from 2-4 and 7-9 at Turner Family Funeral Home, 53 Main Street, Dundas where Marg’s Service will be held on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. Interment Zion Hill. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Salvation Army would be appreciated by the family.

It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family announces the passing of Ron on January 18, 2019 in his 86th year. Devoted husband of Joan Belmore (predeceased) for 67 years. Proud father of Linda Bullard (Nat), Cathie Belmore, Jo-anne Camp, Nancy McKay (Al), Karen Pollington (Rick), Doris Boyce (Steve), and Marianne Coleman (Dan). Beloved Papa of grandchildren Brandon, Sara, Carly, Courtney, Tyler, James, Ryan, Jason, Roni, Matthew, Jordan and Lauren, along with a growing number of great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Shirley Dominic (Tom). Predeceased by his brothers Frank (Ruby) and Larry. Ron lived a simple life. Retiring from Stelco Frost Fence after 40 years, he enjoyed golfing, fishing and spending time at the family cottage. Ron will be missed by his extended family and many friends, in particular the men at the “BS” table of the Royal Canadian Legion (Br. 36), where he was a long time member. On behalf of “Cranky” Ron, the family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Bev Hattersley and the staff at St. Peter’s Palliative Care Centre and Dr. Leber and staff at the Juravinski Cancer Centre. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Peter’s Palliative Care Centre, the Juravinski Cancer Center, Hamilton ON or the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Friends are invited to Turner Family Funeral Home, 53 Main St, Dundas, on Wednesday, January 23 from 2-4p.m. & 6-8p.m. A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Thursday, January 24 at 11:00a.m.
