Peacefully, surrounded by her family at the Hamilton General Hospital on Thursday, September 25, 2014 in her 87th year. Predeceased by her husband and best friend for 61 years, Frank. Much loved mother of Frank (Lois), Marilyn (Brian), and Nancy (Carey). Loving Gramma to Kristen (Martin), Denis (Katalin), Karl (Holly), Amanda (Glen), Kyle (Christy), Joshua, Zachary, Ryan, Katie, and Meaghan. Great-Gramma to Taylor, Aiden, Madeline, Violet, Kaylee, Ben, Fiona, and Owen. June will be sadly missed by her twin sister May and brother-in-law Trevor as well as many nieces and nephews, and fondly remembered by many friends. June enjoyed many hours at her condominium with her fellow “Puzzlers”. The family would like to thank June’s grandchildren for their care and support for June immediately following her hospitalization. Cremation has taken place. A Graveside Service will be held at Grove Cemetery, Dundas, on Saturday October 11th at 11:00 am. At June’s request, in lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.

Dear Marilyn, Frank, Nancy and families,
We were so sorry to learn of your mother’s passing. We had a pleasant visit with June and May when they dropped by recently, and we were able to catch up on current happenings and reminisce about our shared history. We will all miss her.

We are so sorry to hear about your loss. We have such fond memories of your mom & dad. ‘Snowballing’ would not have been the same without a stop at June & Dag’s New Year’s Day. They were very special to our parents. Our hearts are with you all.

Frank, Marilyn, Nancy and families –
We are so sorry to hear of your Mom’s recent passing. Like our cousins (The Shiptons) – we have many happy memories of times spent together not only on New Year’s Day but at Lake Erie, too. And once in a while a Saturday night at someone’s place for Hockey Night in Canada! All of our parents were very fortunate to have had such a great gang of friends. They certainly are missed. We are thinking of all of you at this sad time…

Cherish your memories as we will. It has been 60 years since we were neighbours.
Our thoughts are with you at this time .
