Surrounded by the love of his family, Jim Giacinti passed away peacefully in his 67th year on November 9, 2018, after a long and hard fought battle with Parkinson’s Disease. Beloved husband of Janelle. Wonderful father to Jillian, Jeralee (Jack), and Jolene (Lachlan), and grandfather to Lucas and Hannah. Brother to Mary Jo, Chris, Jonathan (predeceased), Elizabeth, Lois, and Jerry. Uncle and cousin to many. Jim loved his furry friends, especially his buddy “Cammie”. A quiet man, Jim bravely faced the challenges that life dealt him with courage, and a smile that would light up the room. We would like to thank the many people who have supported him in his journey over the years, including Dr. W. Oczkowski, the staff of Wentworth Lodge, and Cindy. Your help will never be forgotten. As would be Jim’s wishes, no funeral service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Hamilton Burlington SPCA would be appreciated.

Loss of your hubby and best friend Jimmy. I found it in the spectator. Caught it on time to see this. I can’t get over it. Believe me that he was a great guy that we love. So laid back and great sense of humours. I have known him since maybe 1973.
Janelle you have done a great job being with him love him, dealing with him while he had the disease for sooooo long. Your children have done too. Too long for Jim with that disease and decided it is time to go. REST in PEACE to our good friend Jimmy. You will always be in my heart that I will never forget Love you Jimmy

I remember Jim’s singular wit that could put a smile on your face. He showed this when he offered his commentary on the play of his family members as they attempted to complete a round of golf at Chedoke. I remember his quiet
brilliance in something as simple as solving a renovation problem for Lois and I. But most of all I remember his courage to keep on taking another step for as long as he was able. My condolences to the Giacinti family.
