“It’s hard to forget someone who gave us so much to remember.” -Unknown
Dan’s love for and devotion to his family knew no bounds. His wife and soulmate, Betty (nee Friend), was loved more than any woman on earth. Throughout their 56 years of marriage, they faced the highs and lows of life together. Dan would say that these things only made their love for each other stronger. His ‘three girls’, Lynn Watson, Cindy Dickson (Jason, who has been holding a seat for Dan in Heaven’s Hot Stove Lounge) and Andrea Connor (Michael), each held a very special place in Dan’s heart. One of the things they could always count on was their Dad’s love and support. Dan was extremely proud of his four grandchildren, Riley (Cole), Chloe, Mary and Charlie. In his eyes, it was impossible for any of them to do wrong. His friends were also so important to Dan. A lifetime of stories about his baseball teams, hiking group, poker club, and lifelong friends will never grow old. Dan loved so deeply, and was so deeply loved. Betty, Lynn, Cindy and Andrea will be greeting family and friends at the Turner Family Funeral Home at 53 Main Street in Dundas on Thursday, February 15th from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 pm, followed by a Celebration of Dan’s Life on Friday, February 16th at 1:00 pm. Dan’s family would like to extend sincere and heartfelt thanks to all of the incredible people at St. Peter’s Hospital in Hamilton for their kindness and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Palliative Care Wing at St. Peter’s Hospital would be greatly appreciated.
Dan Dan the measuring man. We completed many projects together. Always square and always level! Our many interesting conversations during our commute to Mississauga helped me to see the world through your kind eyes. We’ll look after Betty for you. Love you always…Go Leafs Go. Miss you already

This Man was extrodinary he was always so happy and would do anything for anyone, including me. Betty and Dan took me in and made there home my home, made me feel so comfortable and loved. Bidding ‘adieu’ to a kind and gentle soul; among many other things, I’ll miss your quiet humour, your keen insight and your love of music, Danno. Travel safely, dear friend.
So sorry to hear of Dan’s passing. We remember many fun years of golfing, poker club and parties on the Britton deck. He was a gentleman with a great sense of humour and will surely be missed by Betty, his girls, and many friends. Unfortunately we are in the States and are unable to attend Dan’s visitation and Celebration of Life.

Thank you Betty, Lynn, Cindy and Andrea, for loving and taking such good care of my baby brother Dan. I love you all Kay/Aunt Kay
My thoughts and prayers are with the family during this difficult time. I had the privilege of working with Dan on implementing and doing audits in the ISO program. Dan, Jim Shane, and I, as well as Grant Hughes and Steve O’Connor spent many hours on the road, and having Dan with us made the time pass more quickly.May he rest in Peace. Family always came first for Dan.

While we only knew Dan a short time, we quickly grew to appreciate his sense of humour and his genuine love for his family. We enjoyed seeing Dan and his family cheering at Charlie’s hockey games! Our thoughts are with the Watson and Connor Families. Dan, Kate, Evan and Ben Miller
