It is with saddened hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Bertram Amann with his family by his side. Born in Vorarlberg Austria, Bert was the oldest of six siblings. He came to Canada for an “adventure” in 1950 meeting the love of his life Rosemarie and settling here. Married for 62 years, Bertram and Rosemarie started Amann Appliance Service in 1970. Bertram continued to visit the “shop” almost daily until weeks before his passing. He was the proud father to Christine (Harold), Bert, Ray (Bonny) & Angela; Opa to Jeff (Nicole), Richard (Lisa), Nicole (Glenn), Julia, Matt, Derek & Justin and Great Opa to Madeleine, Logan, Gavin, Keira, Mikayla, Killian & Elise. We are thankful for his lessons in will power. We will cherish his wisdom and all of our wonderful memories together.  A special thank you to Dr. Davis, Dr. Gottschalk, Dr. Schulman and Dr. Black as well as all of the support staff he encountered along the way. His family and friends will hold a private celebration of Bertram’s life in the spring. If desired, donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
