June 11, 1926 – February 27, 2014
MacFarlane, Inez – Slipped away on Thursday February 27th — her daughter at her side. Loving wife of the late Wilson MacFarlane Jr. (1993) and mother of Arlene MacFarlane-VanderBeek (Peter VanderBeek). Cherished grandmother of Christoffer VanderBeek (Ashley), Lindsay Palmer (Stephen Jr.) and Jonathan VanderBeek (Kirstie Akitt) and great-grandmother (“GG”) of Jackson & Olivia Palmer and Brycie VanderBeek. She will be missed by her brother, Stewart Brown (Jean) of Kentville, Nova Scotia. Inez owned and operated the former Dundas Office Supply Ltd. for nearly 40 years, in downtown Dundas. A service will be held at the Cattel, Eaton and Chambers Funeral Home, 53 Main Street, Dundas at 2:00 pm, Saturday, March 8th. Visitation to precede the service from 1:00 pm. A private family interment will follow at a later date. Donations to the Dundas Museum and Archives or Dundas’ Routes Youth Centre would be appreciated by the family.
Inez was a dear friend and neighbour who we came to love deeply. Witty and hip, she was nobody’s fool. A woman of great faith, who is now verifying that Heaven is for real. We will miss her chats while she walked down Park Street with Cheyenne. God bless you, Inez, we were honoured to have known you…love and hugs,
Brian and Rashne
Aunt Inez was my Mother’s sister and a very special aunt. She was so kind to me after my Mother passed away several years ago. She never forgot my birthday and anniversary, sending a card and calling. She was always interest in me and my sister; and our families. We will miss her greatly but she will live on in our hearts. God bless you Aunt Inez.

Aunt Inez’ husband, Wilson (Curly) was my mom’s brother. As Joy said, Aunt Inez never forgot my birthday and she was everything an aunt should be…all that I would want. I wish I’d gone to see her as often as I promised to. The only thing I can do now is visit all the other lovely people who I’ve promised to visit being reminded that our time here is finite. Love you Aunt Inez…Say hello to Uncle Curly for me and I hope to see you again in Heaven…Love your niece Suzy
Please accept our heartfelt condolences on the loss of your loved one. We will miss Inez dearly. We will always remember your beautiful smile and the kindness shown to us. Because of the faith you had for Jesus Christ we know you live today!
1 Corinthians 15:55-57 “O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?” The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

I’m so sorry to hear of Inez’s death. Please accept our condolences.
