In Loving Memory of Mark Auld December 4, 1969 – October 26, 2023
It is with profound sadness that we share the news of Mark Auld’s untimely departure from our lives. He was a cherished husband, devoted father, dear brother, and beloved family member. Mark’s departure has left a void that can never be filled.
Born on December 4, 1969, Mark’s life was a testament to love, laughter, and deep connections with those around him. He shared a life of unwavering commitment and profound bonds with his loved ones.
As a loving father, Mark’s influence was immeasurable. He leaves behind a legacy of children who will forever carry his spirit in their hearts: Ethyn, Damien, Josh (Jenn and grandchild Nolan) and Joseph (Dane). His children will always remember him as a wellspring of wisdom, strength, and endless support, shaping their lives with his love and guidance.
Mark was a beloved son to Dallas and Linda, a brother to Erin (Sue) and Tammy (Tim). His presence brought joy, camaraderie, and countless cherished memories to their lives, and his warmth and affection extended to his many nieces and nephews, leaving a lasting impact on their hearts.
Mark was not only a dedicated family man but also an animal activist, tirelessly advocating for the welfare of our furry and feathered friends. His passion for the well-being of animals was a reflection of his kind and compassionate nature.
In addition to his advocacy work, Mark was a skilled handyman, known for his ability to repair almost anything and his willingness to help others in their times of need. His resourcefulness and generosity made him a cherished friend to many.
Mark approached every aspect of his life with passion, from his family to his causes and his various interests. His enthusiasm was infectious, touching the lives of all those fortunate enough to know him.
Mark’s passing was the result of his struggles not only with mental health but also other health issues, challenges he faced with courage and determination. It serves as a poignant reminder of the importance of health awareness and support for those who may be silently battling their own demons.
Though Mark left this world too soon, his spirit will continue to shine as a guiding light and a source of inspiration. In our memories and in the love we shared, Mark Auld’s legacy will endure, reminding us of the profound significance of love, family bonds, the causes he held dear, and the importance of health awareness.
A Celebration of Mark’s Life will be held on Thursday, November 2, 2023 from 5p.m. until 7p.m.
Rest in peace, Mark. You will be deeply missed, but your legacy will always be cherished.
Jack passed away on October 16, 2023 at AgeCare Brant in Burlington at the age of 78. He is predeceased by his parents Wilmer (1967) and Eva (2002), his nephew David (2019) and great-nephew Rhys (2012). Jack is survived by his children Scott and Jackie (David), his grandchildren Callan and Ruby, his sisters Donna (Ernie, 2009) and Terry (Gary), as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. Jack grew up in Dundas, where he would set out on childhood adventures along the banks of Spencer Creek. As an adult, he would have more adventures along the King Street strip and at the odd ravine bash. Jack was a trained pipefitter and a member of UA Local 67. He was also known as the proprietor of several businesses over the years, including Jack’s Billiards and The Water Boys. Even as his health declined in recent years, Jack never lost his feisty spirit, still attempting to go on more adventures, much to the concern of his caregivers. Family and friends are invited to one final party as we celebrate Jack’s life on Sunday, October 29, 2023, 1pm-5pm, at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 36, 280 King St. W. in Dundas. Dorothy Lowe (Atkinson) passed peacefully at home in her 86th year. We lost a brave, talented and caring woman. Predeceased by her parents Sam and Lizzie and younger sister Kathleen, son in law Jim and husband Ron.
Family and friends were very important. She enjoyed time with her children, 6 grandchildren and their spouses and 4 great grandchildren. She will be missed by her sister and extended family.
Dorothy was a resident of Dundas, and was part of many groups and activities. She always had beautiful gardens at all her homes.
Dorothy and Ron enjoyed travel were avid Ballroom and Square dancers. Dorothy continued to travel with wonderful friends for many years.
Thank you to her caring doctors and staff at St.Joe’s Dialysis unit.
A private family service will be held to honor her.
At Aberdeen Gardens Retirement Residence (Hamilton) on the morning of October 13, 2023, Barbara unexpectedly but peacefully passed away in her 83rd year.
She will be deeply missed by her twin-sister Marjorie Filice (Gaetano), daughter Melissa (Lea), and son Darryl and shall forever remain in the hearts of her grandsons Zach, Sam, and Jackson.
She is predeceased by her husband James (2017), brother Ross Inglis (2021) and parents Marjorie Rose (2008) and George (1980).
Treasured friend Lorraine, and other close friends and extended family are saddened by her loss and will miss her frequent phone calls just to say hello.
Barb was a joyful and caring soul, always with a smile to share. She embraced her uniqueness of mind with grace and was quite proud to be “The Birthday Lady” and “The Sugar Lady”. She loved her life at Aberdeen Gardens, and was always happy to stop and chat.
The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff and special friends who were so friendly, kind and caring during her time there.
Final arrangements have been entrusted to Turner Family Funeral Home and White Chapel Memorial Gardens.

Devoted wife of Frank (2007) for almost 59 years. Much loved Mother of Anna Marie Goldmann (Ken) of Greensville, Pam Holliday (Greig) of Toronto, Greg Adams (Cindy) of Stockton, California. Will be sadly missed by grandchildren Jeff (Jennifer), Paula, Kaitlin (Shayne), Grant, Ashley (Alex) and Stephen (Cyndy). Loving Great-Grandmother of Tyler, Leah, Keandra, Nathan, Averi and Abby. Predeceased by parents John Wesley and Anna Grightmire, brother Hugh Grightmire (Hilda), and grandson Wesley Goldmann.
Jean was a lifelong resident of Greensville and lifetime member of Christ Church Flamborough at Bullock’s Corners. She was awarded the Order of Niagara (O.N.) by Bishop Michael Bird in October 2011. Jean graduated Hamilton Normal School in 1947 and then taught at Greensville Public School. She was a member of the West Flamborough Women’s Fellowship for over 70 years.
Jean loved accounting and managed the office for Frank’s electrical contracting business for over 35 years. She believed in continuous education, and was an avid reader and member of the Ladies Bridge Club plus duplicate bridge with Frank. She was a huge fan of garage sales, antiquing, board games, crokinole and spent decades of summers in Meaford swimming, gardening and entertaining relatives. Her love of gardening led to a home full of beautiful flowers and delicious fresh and healthy meals. Winters in Destin, Florida with the snowbird community encouraged square dancing, potlucks, and lots of fun activities.
Friends will be received on Monday, October 23rd from 2-4 and 7-9, and Tuesday, October 24th at 10 am at Christ Church Flamborough, 92 Highway #8 Bullock’s Corners (Dundas, ON, L9H 4V5) where the service will follow at 11 am. Interment at Christ Church Cemetery, followed by a reception in the Parish Hall.
Expressions of sympathy to Christ Church Memorial Fund, 92 Hwy #8, Dundas, ON, L9H 4V5 would be appreciated by the family.

It is with deep sorrow we regret to inform you that Kenneth Rous passed away peacefully in his home on October 11, 2023.
Born on January 31, 1963, Kenneth was predeceased by his loving father, Spencer Rous, and mother Dorothy Leegstra. Ken spent man years following his passion of farming before eventually going to work at Toyota where he made lasting friendships with his coworkers. He will be lovingly remembered by his five children, his grandchildren, extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday October 17, 2023, 2:00 P.M. – 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. at Turner Family Funeral Home, 53 Main Street in Dundas. The funeral service will be at Providence FRC St. George on Wednesday October 18, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. with lunch to follow. Private family interment will be at Mount Zion Cemetery in Copetown on Wednesday prior to the service.
