I have many memories of your Mom, Betty. I was one of her interviewers in the field research unit for the department of Epidemiology. We met again curling in Dundas. She was a skilled curler holding the Vice position as long as I can remember. She was also the only woman wearing curling shoes with a heal. Retro, I expect. Her trademark expression was, ” I’ll take a rain check on that.” She was a warm and caring person that will never be forgotten.

Jaynn, I remember all those wonderful times playing at your parents home when we were growing up, our walks to school and our many years of friendship in Mansfield Park. My Mom passed away in 2006, so I can greatly empathize with your grief. My condolences to you and all your family. You are all in my thoughts and my prayers. God bless you all. Janice Scott (nee McHugh) and family
We are so sorry to hear of Betty’s passing. She was fortunate to have a fine and supporting family. Our thoughts are with you. Ross and Carlies Longbottom.
On behalf of staff and volunteers at Fieldcote Memorial Park & Museum I would like to express our sadness and offer our sympathy to the family. Betty was a long-time supporter of Fieldcote and her delightful presence at our many events was always welcome, as she had a lively, humourous and cheerful personality! We will miss her greatly, and sincerley appreciate and are honoured by the generosity of the family in suggesting donations be made to the museum in her memory.
We were so saddened to hear of Betty’s passing. We send our deepest sympathy.
