Passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton.
Son of the late John Auger and the late Audrey Cormier, husband of the late Marguerite Mercier.
Gerry is survived by his son, Rich (Tara); his brothers and sisters: Rose-May, Jeannette (Claire), Dennis (Diane), Garry (Nathalie), Linda (André), and extended family.
Over the years, many people in the Westdale community got to know Gerry as a fixture in the neighbourhood, often spotted on his bike and hanging out at Timmies with a coffee in hand.
