Passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton.
Son of the late John Auger and the late Audrey Cormier, husband of the late Marguerite Mercier.
Gerry is survived by his son, Rich (Tara); his brothers and sisters: Rose-May, Jeannette (Claire), Dennis (Diane), Garry (Nathalie), Linda (André), and extended family.
Over the years, many people in the Westdale community got to know Gerry as a fixture in the neighbourhood, often spotted on his bike and hanging out at Timmies with a coffee in hand.
Join Rich at Tim Hortons in Westdale (951 King St W, Hamilton) on Tuesday, September 22 from 8:30am – 10:30am to share Gerry stories.
Sweetest man I ever met. His love for people was evident and he was loved by all. He is sorely missed.. rest in the arms of God Dear Gerry. Until we meet again ❤️
