Rollo passed away surrounded by the love of his family. Left to mourn Rollo are his beloved wife of 75 years Marilyn (nee Shewfelt) and his cherished daughter Lori Christine of Hamilton. Rollo was predeceased by his dear son Warren.

Rollo was born in Doon, Ontario, to George and Mildred (Culligan) Snyder.  Rollo grew up in St. George, Lynden and Waterdown.   He was predeceased by his brother George and his sisters Claire White and Ina McCurdy. He is survived by his sister Rosemary Stinger of Florida.

Rollo will be missed by family members including Delbert Shewfelt (Marilyn) of Goderich, Yvonne Shewfelt of Copetown, and many nieces and nephews on both the Snyder and Shewfelt sides

Rollo was an exceptional husband and father; he loved and led by example.  He will be deeply missed and never forgotten.

Rollo was a remarkably intelligent man.  He was a dedicated mechanical engineer and draftsman with Proctor and Gamble for 35 year and the last Chairman of the Dundas District School Board before its amalgamation with Hamilton. He was an active member of Copetown United Church for over 70 years, where he was treasurer and an elder.

Rollo loved to be active – he played hockey, softball, golf and tennis, skied well into his 80s, and coached for many years in the Dundas Minor Hockey League.  His love of sports included all levels of hockey, the Hamilton Tiger Cats and the Toronto Blue Jays.

A visitation will be held at Copetown United Church, 2218 Governor’s Rd, Copetown, ON L0R 1J0, on Thursday, June 11th from 10:00-11:00a.m. A Funeral Service will immediately follow at the church. Burial at Mt. Zion Cemetery will take place after the service.
