So sorry to hear of Isabel, or “Ma Zess” as I called her all my life. She was a second mom to me from the time I was a wee girl. I will remember her as a beautiful, kind soul who would do anything for anyone. She always donated her time and her knitting at the bazaars at Knox. The girls remember and have photos of the beautiful sweaters she made for them. She treated our girls like her own grand kids. She made the best ever butter tarts, which I still make to this day. I spent many a day at the Zess house and was always loved and welcome, and I will miss her amazing smile and contagious laugh and loving hugs. Thinking of Cindy and Mike and family, Rosemary and Andrew and family, Louise and Don and family, and Rick and Sue and family, sending you all love. Ma is at peace now.
Louise, Rick, Cindy, Rosemary & families, I am so sorry to hear the passing of your mom. Like Carol I have fond memories of the old days on Baldwin street which never seems the same without seeing your mom sitting on the front porch. I hope that the stories and memories that will be shared in the coming days will help you through this time. Unfortunately I am out of town this week and will not be able to attend the visitation or service but please know you are all in my thoughts and prayers.
Thinking of you all with love, hugs and happy memories.
Thinking of the Zess family, my heart is with you all.
Losing a mom is hard.
Know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.
