October 27, 1993 – August 16, 2014
As the result of a car accident on August 16, 2014, Heaven above received our
Angel Julian in his 21st year. Cherished son of Catharine and Peter, baby
brother of Ashton, Devon, and Chelsea, all so very proud of his many
accomplishments. A graduate of Highland Secondary and Liaison Culinary College,
Jules was active in Dundas Little League and Minor Baseball. An aspiring chef,
he was even more passionate about his family and friends. Julian always filled
the room with his huge grin, heart, and enthusiasm. He will forever be loved
and missed. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 6th, at 2:00 p.m. at the Cattel, Eaton & Chambers Funeral Home, 53 Main Street, Dundas. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the
Hamilton SPCA would be appreciated.
Julian was a good friend of Ava during their middle school years. Julian was a bright light with a beautiful smile and a sparkle in his eyes.He was often in our home and always fun and friendly, and always interested in the world. We are so saddened as a family by his passing. Our condolences to the Ambrose family. Julian was very devoted to them, and often spoke so proudly of the family he loved. Peace to Julian. Paul, Jo-Anne, Ava, Mia and Joelle Belluz.
We were so shocked when we heard of Julian’s passing. The whole family remembers him fondly from all the years that he and Theo played Little League together. He was such a lovely boy, happy, outgoing, and kind.
Our thoughts and prayers are with your whole family at this sad time.
I will miss Julian Ambrose. I will miss his big goofy smiles. I will miss the way he burst in our door and instantly made us all smile and yell “Julian!” I will miss the many talks that my son and I had with him. I will miss the growing pride in himself, that he was feeling.
I will mostly miss that my son Colin will never find a friend like Julian again. There will always be a hole in his, and our entire family’s heart.
To Julian’s family, who I have recently been blessed to know, I am so sorry for your loss. I too feel as though I’ve lost a son.
Lastly, I will never forget the big ass hug we shared when I saw him last…..I will keep that around me forever.
From my whole family to yours, I hope that you may all find peace.
Love
Scott and Nicki Roung.
Our hearts and thoughts go out to your family. With all the years our families spent together at the ball diamonds, it feels like we have also lost a member of our family. Our memories of Julian are of a jolly, happy go lucky boy that will stay with us forever.
Our deepest condolences.
Julian, you will always be in my thoughts, prayers and heart. There are very few people in the world that are as easy to respect and admire. Julian was the perfect example of what it means to be a Gentleman, Friend and overall a great man. I feel honored and blessed to have known him. From being my first friend when I moved to Dundas his warm heart welcomed me like no one else. The late-night phone calls and endless hours we spent together, turned into the perfect, life long friendship that I couldn’t be more thankful for. From his huge smile to his silly laugh he is one person that no one will ever forget. I always admired Julian with the way he could walk into a room and everyone instantly had a smile on there face. And even though the past couple years I only saw him once in awhile, it was like I had seen him everyday. I have an extremely heavy heart knowing I will soon have to say goodbye to the best friend that I have ever had. Rest In Peace. Samara
We are all so sad to hear of Julian’s passing . Please know that your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

My deepest and most heartfelt condolences to Cathy, Peter and the whole family at this saddest of times. I can hardly believe Julian is no longer with us! I have such great memories of him during the all-star T-ball tournaments – laughing while running the bases and pointing his bat like ‘The Babe’! Julian and Cole shared some fun times! I ran into Julian over the years and was always met with a big grin, an even bigger hug and a “Hi, Cole’s Mom!” I will miss that. I loved that kid! Keeping you in our thoughts. xo
cathy, I never met your children. I did do some growing up with you at strathallan. I just want you to know how truly sorry I am for your familys loss. if there were any words I could say to help you in any possible way, please consider them said. I wish for you all, strength and peace. God bless
They say the great die young, in Julians case this is very true. We will never forget his infectious laugh, smile and outgoing personality. Julez was truly a great all around person and friend. We will remember all the good times we had together and never forget you. We send our deepest condolences to the Ambrose family. Rest in peace Julian.
All of Julian’s American cousins are saddened by the loss of such a wonderful young man. Our hearts are with Catharine and Peter, and his brothers and sister Ashton, Devon and Chelsea. When a promising life is cut too short it is impossible to forget the joy Julian brought to all of you: parents, sister, brothers, and friends. I remember Julian as a bouncing, lively young teen when we last saw him five years ago, thriving, engaged in baseball and so many activities. Such a loss will be impossible to forget for clearly Julian left a positive mark on every soul he touched and he seemed to be shooting like a star heading for greater things with a life so filled with promise. We are so sad that star now has shot beyond our ability to hold him, or for him to hold his family and friends in his big arms and hug as if tomorrow didn’t matter, only the joy of the moment. Cherish those moments and your memories. May you find solace in the starshine and peace in Julian’s blessed memory. Hanging out with Julian was always a great time, he always had a smile, and always kept me laughing every time. I’m more than proud to call him my friend, I will miss you.
My wife and I would like to offer our deepest condolences to Julian’s friends and family.
While I was never Julian’s teacher at Dundas Central school, he was a student that I got to know well. With Julian’s outgoing and charismatic personality, virtually everyone knew him well. My wife supply taught Julian many times at the beginning of her career. Julian was the type of student you never forget.
I came home only few weeks ago to excitedly tell my wife that I ran into Julian. I let her know that he was doing well, that he said hello and that he was as friendly as ever.
It is tragic that Julian’s life was so short. However, I know that his spirit touched many people. He will always be remembered.

We are so saddened to know that such a bright light is no longer with us.
Our memories of Julian go back to Dundas Central Public School, with crazy episodes on bus trips to see plays in Stratford, and endless summer hours watching the boys play baseball at Martino Park… good times!
As the boys got older Julian would often come to the park, to watch the other guys when they weren’t on the same team; he always wanted to know how everyone was doing, and he always cheered on his friends.
Julian brought joy to everyone he came into contact with… we carry a little bit of that in each of our hearts; hopefully we will all share with others the joy that he left us.
Our prayers for your family is that God will bless you with great peace, and that you will gain strength from each other as you share memories of your beautiful son and wonderful brother.
Cathy and Peter, our deepest sympathy to you and your family. We so fondly remember Julian at the baseball diamonds. He was a great player – wonderful to coach as he brought such great spirit to the team. His enthusiasm and kindness will always be remembered.
You are in our thoughts and prayers.
Julian,
It still really hasn’t set in yet, you were taken way too soon. Not a day will go by when I don’t think about you. Every song on my iPod, every time I look at my phone. I miss our phone conversations that went on for hours, laughing and watching TV and movies together. I think I will miss your laugh the most. Even though we were miles apart you were one of the closest people to me, You know me better than anyone, all my love to you BFF.
Ambrose Family,
I am so sorry for your loss. Your son was loved by so many and my heart and prayers go out to all of you.
Julian,
We never really talked but we knew each other. I can’t believe any of this… it doesn’t really seem real. You were such a happy kid. So positive, loved life. You’ll definitely be missed by many ! Keep an eye on your family from up there. Thoughts are with you all !
Hi Cathy and Peter, Ashton, Devon and Chelsea,
Mark and I are so sad about Julian’s passing. It is not fair that someone so special, sweet and full of potential was taken too soon. I want to let you know that you are in my thoughts daily and I wish I could share the pain you are carrying so it wouldn’t feel quite so heavy. Just know that friends and family are there to support you at this difficult time.

Our deepest condolences to Cathy, Peter, Ashton, Devon, & Chelsea. We are heartbroken over the tragic loss of Julian. May you find peace and strength in one another and in the thoughts and prayers of all of us who grieve with you.
I didn’t know his name, but I sure knew his friendly, smiling face every time he entered the Rockton Berry Farm, where I work and had the pleasure to interact with Julian. I was so sorry to hear about the accident that cut his young, promising life short. We can’t understand why these tragic things happen, but as parents, we can certainly empathize with what your whole family must be going through. Please take comfort in knowing he was a blessing to all, when he entered a room. I will miss seeing his bright light. Sincerely, Helen Reuter
I am so saddened and filled with love for all of Julian’s family.
Cathy and Peter, you are in my heart, always.
Cathy and Peter,
I am saddened to hear of the tragic loss of your son. My thoughts and prayers go out to you during this time of great sorrow.
